Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The GCA Corporate Communication team manages adidas reputation in GCA internally and externally.  This manager position is designed to drive employee engagement via optimizing internal communication channels, crafting inspiring stories around our strategy/people & workplace/sustainability and initiating CSR programs to engage our employees and our community.


Key Responsibilities:

 

Internal communication

 

  • Work with global Comms team to land global communication message and employee campaigns across GCA locations through integrated editorial planning process.
  • Manage and optimize online and offline communication channels to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of internal communication in GCA.
  • Develop inspiring stories around our strategy, people & workplace, and sustainability to engage our people and uplift morale.
  • Work with HR and cross-functional team to organize internal employee events/activities to build a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

 

Sustainability communication and CSR programs

 

  • Initiate and manage corporate CSR programs in GCA through working with NGO partners to create positive changes and have more positive impact on our community via sports.
  • Launch employee sustainability campaigns to help build a “green workplace”
  • Lead communication and storytelling on our purpose and our sustainability efforts/achievements internally and externally

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent capability of collaborating with cross-function and cross-level stakeholders internally and externally
  • Advanced expertise in writing and storytelling, both in English and in Chinese.
  • Strong sense of ownership and results-driven, able to lead cross-functional projects independently
  • Solid skills in multi-task management and stress management
  • A confident, creative and collaborative team player
  • A “can do” attitude, energy, and high levels of stamina. 
  • Interested in sports

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of related working experience in multinational companies
  • Experience gained with Youth brand / Consumer Products industry is seen as valuable
  • University degree in communication related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin
