Manager Digital Analytics

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


As a Manager Digital Analytics at adidas you are responsible for delivering cutting-edge analytics services to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. Based on multiple data sources, you manage the generation of insights that help adidas understand consumer behavior, profitability and related business performance to ultimately help drive sales and bottom line. In collaboration with your team, you inform the adidas digital market strategy with factual and actionable insights to drive change.



Key Responsibilities:


  1. Analytics
  • Create solutions and insights for ad hoc and recurring requests using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy and Alteryx.
  • Create, develop and maintain dashboards & reports to effectively analyze performance and profitability.
  • Ensure monthly execution, quality assurance and insights generation when it comes to operational reporting.
  • Come up with initiatives and new ways of looking at business performance.
  • Build, integrate and maintain automated models to reduce dependability on the manual inputs by designing and developing workflows on Alteryx.
  • Serve as an expert in developing advanced analytics solutions, data modelling and actionable insight capabilities.
  • Contribute in a variety of roles in systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Master an understanding of forecasting, target setting, campaign planning processes and data flows to develop these processes further.


  1. Consulting
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners to understand their goals and objectives, outline analytic requirements and provide solutions to business needs.
  • Actively participate in identifying opportunities to determine actions to reach the business goals and objectives.
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses and build business cases to facilitate insights into the business when needed.  Translate gathered insights into engaging, actionable and easy to digest insights presentations.
  • Help distill best practice guidance to other markets and other adidas stakeholders to maximize the use of analytics capabilities.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical needs and vice versa.

  • Co-initiate and help implement new reporting structures within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality across the outputs provided.

  • Build a strong internal and external network, informing the adidas Digital Analytics community on the latest trends and technological advances.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  1. Hard-Skills
  • Experience in using ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx, Knime, SPSS Modeler) supported by the involvement in various projects/workstreams in which these tools are used for automation
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and coding skills
  • Experience with business intelligence practices, specifically in querying, enhancing, and interpreting moderate to large datasets
  • Expert in MS Excel
  • Prior experience of BI tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written

  • Ability to understand and analyze complex systems
  • Excellent and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrating creativity and initiative and acting in a result-oriented way
  • Ability to think creatively and to drive structured & practical solutions within the wider group

  • Good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • University degree in the field of Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in Analytics
  • Experience in eCommerce environment is a plus
