Manager Digital Product Analysis

General Purpose

As a Manager Product Analysis at adidas China Digital Analytics you are responsible delivering deep analysis/insight to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. Based on internal & external data sources, you manage the generation of analysis and insights that help adidas better understand the consumer demand on product, monitoring product performance and trigger actions which ultimately drive sales. In collaboration with your team, you inform and execute the adidas digital trading strategy and provide the factual basis for assortment, buying plans, and pulling of other key business levers.


Key Responsibilities 

Scope:   Accountable for Trading analysis/insight


Product Analysis

  • Work directly with buying and planning team to support optimize process, enrich knowledge on product performance, clustering and forecast features
  • Work directly with trading lab team to frame product knowledge into trading foundation
  • Utilize and improve trading products to empower data/logic driven trading decisions
  • Create and share insight to trading lab team on new trading capabilities for our business
  • Feed the upstream assortment creation team with in-season insights informing future seasons
  • Develop and maintain a strong stakeholder network with high level of trust that facilitates action- ability of insights.

Stakeholder Management

  • Represent the business for the product area, fostering strong relationships with key global & local stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured in the product backlogs.
  • Manage relationships with key business decision owners to ensure insights can be actioned on in a timely manner

Education & Professional Experience

  • Degree with focus in Statistics, Mathematics, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of working in a business forecast, planning, or reporting
  • Experience in creating strong internal business cases to support investment and internal resource requests
  • Understanding of merchandising, buying, product planning and/or sales and the product creation process a plus
  • Experience in eCommerce environment


  • A passion for delivering analytics to drive outcomes for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction.
  • Good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex technical topics to non-technical audience both in person and remotely at various organizational levels
  • Good team player and able to multi-task


  • Advanced analytics skills
  • Experience in forecasting and predictive models
  • Prior working experience in Alteryx, Tableau, Adobe Analytics and sensors a big plus
  • Fluent English both verbally and written
