Manager GBS DE - Performance Management

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:


Global Business Services (GBS) designs, builds and operates consistent end-to-end business solutions for adidas, delivering services in the areas of finance, controlling, non-trade procurement, and human resources.  This drives operating efficiency, better customer experience, company agility and decision making, and ensures the compliance and control environment.  This is enabled through solid end-to-end processes, strong, globally consistent governance of solutions and services, state of the art technology and tools, creativity and continuous improvement.


Performance Management include definition of GBS Global Dashboard and KPIs, balance scorecard and framework of how data should be used to drive process improvements. The Manager Delivery Excellence will make sure that data is available and distributed to relevant stakeholders, timely and accurately, there is a regular process in place to review process performance and productivity metrics, and right corrective actions are taken.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support creation of the monthly GBS performance report on the consolidated service of all GBS Centers and processes globally (primary audience: GBS leader and his direct reports);
  • Support, design and build of automated reporting and dashboards to track business performance metrics, including but not limited to GBS Dashboard project in Fiori;
  • Facilitate monthly performance reviews to discuss process performance, identify issues and improvement actions (PDCA);
  • Identify additional demand for new reports and functionalities;
  • Being the go-to person to drive reporting and creating information;
  • Provides business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools, and applications for GBS. Seek opportunities for advanced analytics, continually strive to extract value from and analytics in business processes and leverage analytics as a motivation for increasing data quality.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong data acumen, being able to model and analyze complex data sets
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Great communication, multiple stakeholders management;
  • Strong inter-personal skills connected with an ability to communicate at senior leadership;
  • Advanced skills on Microsoft Office is crucial, experience with SharePoint is desirable;
  • Able to create Dashboards in self-service BI tools like Power BI, Tableau or MicroStrategy;
  • Highly organized professional and adherence to deadlines;
  • Experience with reporting systems and efficient data pipeline architecture;
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams;
  • Ability to work and deliver in changing environments under limited;
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex situations and develop innovative solutions;
  • Knowledge of the performance measurement function and practices;
  • Excellent English language proficiency, Spanish is a plus;



Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of experience in GBS organization, experience in any of the Excellence functions (automation, continuous improvement, reporting) is preferrable;
  • Experience working with Lean methodology, applying PDCA methodology is a plus;
  • The successful candidate will have experience in business level reporting, complex data mining and analysis as well as data visualization;
  • Demonstrate comfort and ability in presenting complex topics;
  • Build, maintain and grow relationships across stakeholders;
  • Experience working in Performance Management team is a plus;
  • University degree on IT related areas, economy or business management, or equivalent experience;
