Manager GBS Strategy Orchestration (M/F/D)

The GBS Strategy & Projects team works closely with the GBS Senior Leadership Team. As a team we play an essential role in the formulation and execution of GBS’ role in “Own the Game”, adidas recently announced strategy.  The GBS Strategy Orchestration team is responsible to deliver performance transparency and high-impact advice in order to drive the business forward.


As Manager GBS Strategy you will be responsible for supporting the execution of the GBS Roadmap.  Together with your team, you will play a critical role supporting our Senior VP and his first line in strategic decision making and communication to key stakeholders. You will collaborate with leaders across the organization and apply your analytical mind-set to help delivering high-quality content that can serve as base for senior decision making. You will work in a highly visible, fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the development and execution of the medium and long term strategy for GBS ensuring that the roadmap remains relevant for the needs of adidas
  • Manage the documentation of strategy development processes with inputs from cross-functional teams
  • Prepare GBS objective definition proces (anually and quarterly)
  • Collaborate with GBS teams and oversee the execution of initiatives to ensure deliverables meet organizational priorities and strategic intent
  • Perform reporting process and tool to document progress of GBS initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams within GBS to measure and quantify impact of strategic initiatives and investments on key GBS metrics
  • Enable strategic decision making at GBS SLT level by helping to deliver clear and timely information, including performance transparency, interdependencies, risks and opportunities. Manage SLT routines to facilitate this process
  • Organize and manage meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Support Senior Management target setting process
  • Prepare reports to other adidas teams and very senior executives (e.g. CFO). Ensure quality and consistency
  • Support preparation of executive-level presentations for our Senior VP to various stakeholders, especially related to GBS performance
  • Be up tp date on industry trends
  • Provide inputs to the Strategy Activation Team to develop narrative and messaging to communicate the strategy and direction to the broader organization

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Commerce /Business Administration /Strategy /Finance.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in strategy / program management / business development of (ideally) shared service center environments
  • Fluency in English
  • Enthusiastic for sport; history of performing a sport at competitive level a plus
