Project Manager KPIs and Analytics(m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization


As Project Manager KPIs and Analytics you will explore internal and external data sources, integrate them and add proper context in order to help us improve quality and speed in the end-to-end value chain. In this context you will deliver high quality input for the purpose of actionable insights. Based on these insights, you will also lead and manage small Global Logistics projects (< € 200k) to successfully deliver assigned project or RFC, end-to-end, as well as support larger Global Logistics initiatives within the boundaries of time, cost & quality while focusing on the customers’ expectations and requirements.



Key Responsibilities:


Data Source Solutions

  • Support the development of optimal data source solutions, minimizing data extraction efforts and maximizing raw data quality.
  • Analyze and validate data to identify trends, risk and other hidden insights to improve the logistics decision making process with a focus on service levels, costs and innovation.
  • Drive completion of reporting and data analytics projects for transport and logistics specific subjects.
  • Help to develop/consolidate quantifiable KPIs based on current 3PL service level agreements (SLAs) to monitor volume, costs, service quality and performance. Compare to agreed SLAs (compliance monitoring) and develop future targets to maintain or improve cost and or service levels.


Project Management

  • Lead and manage small Global Logistics projects (< € 200k) to successfully deliver assigned project or RFC, end-to-end, as well as support larger Global Logistics initiatives.
  • Ensure full understanding of project scope to be able to design detailed project plans.
  • Manage the execution and completion of the defined project plan by effectively coordinating people and resources.
  • Monitor and highlight any project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan and make suggestions to implement corrective or preventative actions.
  • If required, support any changes for the respective project and ensure changes are smoothly and successfully implemented to achieve lasting benefits.
  • Finalize all activities across the projects/programs to formally close and hand over the project, ensuring project documents are approved, completed, maintained and stored appropriately.
    Financials and Controlling
  • Control the allocated project costs on time and in budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Global and functional standards, e.g. PMO, Finance controlling standards
  • Manage project budget by tracking and reporting the monthly budget accruals and variances and ensure timely and accurate invoicing


  • Use appropriate and effective communication methods to Senior Management and project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle, in order to successfully deliver and embed the project within the organization.

Knowledge, skills and abilities


  • Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mind-set, ability to think end-to-end
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Business mindset: very good numerical and analytical skills
  • Good experience in managing projects on a global level
  • Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures
  • Good communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups), especially when interacting with different levels of business
  • Able to embrace innovation, challenge the status quo and drive change
  • Fluent (verbal and written)


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 


  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive work experience in mid-scale projects with hands-on data analytics experience
