Manager Merchandising Parley (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation

This role is responsible for executing the key strategy of merchandising across the organisation. Maximising the profitability of the adidas Group by Channel Strategy Planning with a global perspective whilst keeping Brand top of mind. Create the merchandising framework for the Outdoor BU across all channels including a range point of view for Outdoor global key accounts, considering all relevant inputs and factors, ensuring that plan allows organisation to balance brand-driving initiatives and the delivery of net sales and margin objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Merchandising Director/Sr. Merchandising Manager in executing the global merchandising goals and ensure implementation by working with the BU GM and their teams and markets
  • Create and execute together with BU Merchandising the BU Range Architecture Outdoor global key accounts, ensuring brand strategies are executed and driving commercial success globally
  • Drive and execute range roadmap and range planning for BU Outdoor
  • Execute horizontal range reviews for BU Outdoor to ensure account plans and key moments in the seasonal calendar are supported in an optimal way by involved BUs
  • Execute horizontal range reviews to implement define distribution segmentation, avoid overlaps and secure product differentiation
  • Execute horizontal checks among the BU Outdoor
  • Regular analysis of competitor activity in the market
  • Implement the BU Price Architecture by reflecting the BU pricing strategy within the BU Range Architecture
  • Execute update to markets on BU range strategy (quantitative and qualitative) covering decisions to meet / not meet the needs expressed in the QRI 
  • Incorporate hindsight analysis to enhance BU Range architecture process and give recommendation to markets where possible 
  • Market visits as needed and advised by the business
  • Other duties as requested by your manager

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional language is an advantage
  • Good understanding of Merchandising Concepts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Structured, organised and process orientated
  • Attention to detail as error in analysis will have crucial impact to business
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
  • 4-5 years adequate work experience, including 1-2 years merchandising experience.
