Product Owner , Persoanlization



General Purpose

As a Product owner of Personalization Capabilities at adidas Digital China Hub you are responsible for the quality and strategic impact of initiatives to deliver personalization capabilities. Together with your manager and agile teams, you work on continuously improving and evolving the personalization product area, maximizing the value for the customer and the company.

Partnering with IT and local china teams to define a robust product landscape, managing capability expansion increments and working with the teams towards definition of new functionalities & best practices are a few examples of the activities that will be expected from this role. Additionally, you will be key expert on marketing automation platform, be accountable for the product success considering the value of personalized outbound experience as  well as addressing company goals

Personalization capabilities Strategy & Delivery


  • Be accountable for the success of the product area considering the value for the consumer and the company (ROI).
  • Be accountable for product delivery in line with the roadmap and committed delivery dates.
  • Identify and solve dependencies within and beyond your product area to ensure efficient delivery.
    Stakeholder Management
  • Represent the business for the product area, fostering strong relationships with key global & local stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured in the product backlogs.
  • Act as the ambassador for your product area, showcasing the key functionalities, driving product adoption and assuring operational excellence together with IT peers.
  • Manage relationships outside the product area efficiently to ensure that the product teams can work autonomously.
    Backlog Management
  • Drive the evolution of the product area backlogs in collaboration with the product owners.
  • Influence backlog priorities in the own product area.
  • Influence dependent product backlogs from other product areas.
  • Be accountable for monitoring, optimization and enhancement of the configuration, features and functionalities related to the product area.
  • Ensure that objective data sources and feedback are used for the optimization of the product area.
    Business Intendency
  • Be accountable for consumer data, understand all the data details and provide consultant to cross function teams.
  • Be expert in business analysis and data mining. Have the basic knowledge of advanced modeling

    Education & Professional Experience
  • University degree in of filed of marketing, computer science, software engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related majors
  • 2+ years of experience as product owner
  • Experience of digital marketing and CRM in a brand environment
  • Experience in eCommerce environment
  • A passion for delivering analytics to drive outcomes for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction.
  • Good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex technical topics to non-technical audience both in person and remotely
  • Good team player and able to multi-task
  • Good business sense in consumer engagement
  • Good experience with analytics tools and disciplines (including some of, but not limited to the following: web, eCom, social, mobile, sentiment, paid media, SEO, SEM, CRM etc.).
  • Solid experience with analytics methodologies and statistical model techniques.
  • Proficient in SQL, SAS, Python, R or equivalent analytical software
  • Knowledge in database, both structured and unstructured
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fluent English both verbally and written
