Manager Project Management & Legal

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Develop, support and manage key strategic initiatives, from planning to execution, across the organization to achieve top priorities for Hong Kong (50%)
  • Provide legal support on various topics, including drafting and reviewing a variety of agreements and terms & conditions and liaise with business teams and external solicitors (50%)

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Legal

  • Draft, review and amend as necessary a variety of agreements and terms & conditions
  • Be the single point of contact for business teams for questions related to legal topics
  • Liaise with the Procurement team on commercial terms
  • Liaise with the legal team in GCA for complex legal matters
  • Liaise with external solicitors in Hong Kong upon request from the legal team in GCA
  • Work with management to conduct contract reviews and ensure internal control matrix is followed and executed accordingly
  • Provide monthly legal report to the legal team in GCA

 

Planning

  • Develop and execute a systematic approach to support line manager to identify the right strategic priorities to act
  • Coordinate and manage initiative development, planning and prioritization processes across functions
  • Drive and guide initiative owners to set initiative objectives, develop detailed plans and define KPIs

 

Management

  • Engage with initiative owners and line manager to determine role and contribution for each initiative
  • Coordinate and drive initiative owners to generate regular progress updates while ensuring consistent planning and execution from function to function, and from head office to regions

 

Systems and Processes

  • Closely track throughout the project life cycle and organize regular updates with line manager on module/initiative progress
  • During planning and execution, provide value-added analytical support to enable the management team to make fact-based decisions

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of general business experience
  • University degree or above
  • Legal degree preferred (Hong Kong law), with focus on compliance, business and contract law
  • Experience with leading consumer brands
  • Extensive experience in and strong skills of process and project management
  • Experience in working closely with middle and senior managers across functions
  • Experience in leading management consulting firm is a plus
  • Experience working on legal agreements and terms & conditions
  • High proficiency or expertise with database, statistical and business intelligence systems (e.g. SAS, SPSS, SAP)
  • Solid skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Basic statistics and modelling knowledge   
  • Strong communication skills – written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
