Manager - Sustainability Direction (m/f/d)



Support the development of science-based and holistic directions for priority sustainability topics being part of our sustainability strategy, including decarbonization, circularity and biodiversity.

Manage the development of guidance materials and policies of priority topics to ensure clear direction to core functions tasked to execute agreed actions.

Contribute to industry working groups in developing and executing industry standards.


Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the development of guidelines of priority topics in the area of decarbonization, circularity and biodiversity in close collaboration with the core functions in: Global Operations, GOPS and Social- and Environmental Affairs
  • Contribute to key external expert working groups for selected priority topics in order to develop harmonized industry standards
  • Manage the development and reporting of Science Basted Targets
  • Manage business cases, pilots and implementation to incubate priority topics
  • Manage the development of internal training and communication material
  • Provide corporate communications with relevant facts, data and progress updates for internal and external communication

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience

  • Expertise in environmental science, decarbonisation, renewable energy and biodiversity
  • Expertise in chemistry with focus on sustainable chemistry in product is a plus
  • Expertise in contributing to industry working groups
  • Advanced x-industry expert network decarbonization, circularity, biodiversity
  • Knowledge of footwear, apparel and accessories manufacturing
  • Experience in managing x-functional projects with a positive track record
  • Effective communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)



  1. Four-year university degree, preferably master’s degree in environmental science, CSR or related fields
  2. Minimum 4 years’ work experience in sustainability with a focus on decarbonization, circularity and biodiversity
