Manager Sustainability Materials A&G

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

 

Manage the implementation of the sustainability roadmap with the internal and external stakeholders. Act as key interface to the A&G T1 and T2 supply base globally to ensure compliance adherence to defined Sustainability standards.
Manage the implementation of material innovation systems and processes to enable material innovation across A&G community.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the implement of the adidas Group’s Sustainability targets across the A&G supply base
    – In collaboration with SEA, manage the implementation of the adidas Group chemical management program to A&G T2 suppliers globally
    – Establish and implement the 100% recycled polyester roadmap across different Business Units and A&G supplier base
    – Ensure the success implementation of 100% better cotton initiatives, set up the data validation process to close monitor the status across A&G T1 suppliers
    – Provide trainings to creation centers, LO material teams, suppliers to ensure the awareness and sufficient knowledge of all sustainability programs
    – Drive the implementation and monitoring process of
    the 9 out of 10 sustainable product ambition
    – Establish reporting and monitoring structure (format, frequency, data content) to measure sustainability target achievement
    • Manage the implement of A&G material innovation system & process
    – Define and implement the A&G material innovation process across LO’s and CC’s.
    – Drive the implement of innovation systems: innovation portal and concept brief
    – Organize and host A&G material fair across whole A&G community
    • Support SEA to ensure A&G material suppliers fulfil the compliance requirements
    – Create reporting, verification/monitoring process to ensure supplier compliance in terms of sustainability
    – Act as A&G key contact person for monitoring process of Parley facilities
    – Facilitate SEA compliance audits in T2 suppliers and after audit improvements
    • Networking and Communication
    – Relationship Management / Networking across sourcing divisions and functions
    – Engage with creation centres to collect feedback and inputs to support the development of the sustainability roadmap as well as innovation process/systems
    – Maintain strong network of relationships with global A&G T1 and T2 suppliers, and industry organizations to build knowledge base for sustainability topics
    – Conduct training to Creation Centres, LO Material Teams and suppliers to educate them on the sustainability programs and adidas group requirements

• Good understanding of supply chain mechanics from sourcing to customer
• Competent user of Microsoft Office suite
• Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
• Knowledge in Sustainability / SEA area is a plus

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

• Degree in business administration, supply chain management or similar
• Minimum 6 years working experience, ideally in sourcing / SEA related function
