Merchandising Insights Manager

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Responsibility for the identification of actionable insights from various data points across North Wholesale Strategic retailers with the objective of accelerating sell out & market share across both digital & physical channels
  • Through these insights present a prioritized shortlist on a regular basis to the Sales and Partner commerce (DPC) teams, with the primary objective of maximizing the sell-in & sell-out of adidas products respectively

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all topics relating to data insight generation for assigned North Wholesale Strategic retailers for stakeholders both in North and in Europe
  • In understanding the relationship between various metrics & sell out performance, you will drive recommendations to the Sales, CTC and Partner commerce (DPC) teams on how best to optimise our offering
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team, to ensure that the collation of relevant data sets is structured in an actionable manner to serve their intended purpose
  • Identify opportunities to expand brand reach, visibility, product size level availability and ultimately grow sales – both digitally and across the physical store network (where relevant)
  • Through a regular reporting cadence, provide relevant business stakeholders with actionable insights, focussed on the above key metrics – including sharing progress & highlighting further relevant opportunities for the teams to action
  • Maximise the depth of insight generation by leveraging data points internally and externally, across the full spectrum of granularity – including online/offline and focuses across geographies, categories, genders, product types, price points, colourways etc.
  • Through these insights, provide the business recommendations relating to ideal product assortments, depths of buys, breadth of ranges, replenishment opportunities and other key insights to help accelerate the adidas business
  • Identify commercial opportunities, for example through ideal range planning, pricing architecture or content, leveraging data sources (internal & external) to aid your proposals
  • Drive synergies from multiple data sources, originating both directly from the respective accounts & also from wider industry specialist sources – brining the data sets together to extract value
  • Translate gathered insights into engaging, measurable, and clear presentations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency in spreadsheet analyses
  • Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. Adobe, Google Analytics, Microstrategy, SQL)
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise amongst leading industry data software
  • Ability to confidently present quantitative and qualitative data led analysis to management & translate messages and stories in a simple way
  • Solution-oriented with a focus on achieving results
  • Keen interest in deriving insights from large data sets
  • Ability to derive the inter-connected nature between various data points
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work in deadline driven environment
  • Comfortable with working in an international environment
  • Fluency in English is a must; another European language would be beneficial.
