Mgr Deployment and Inventory Managment



  • Manager Deployment and Inventory Management is responsible for building and executing multiple DC operations to balance Channel's sales and inventory: fulfill demand for Channels and manage optimal inventory level.
  • To serve advanced consumer experience opportunities on the Direct to Consumer (DTC) Channel through building a network operating model that focuses primarily on the DTC business.
  • To maintain consistency between Sales plan and Inventory plan: adjust inventory level (both on-hand and future inbound) to balance with Sales Demand in compliance with Open To Buy (OTB) concept.
  • This role is critical to ensuring that product is positioned at the right place and time for the consumer.



  • Deployment Process Management 
  •   <Flexible Structure development to Meet Demand by Channel>

  • Own responsibility for the seasonal article and range deployment across all Distribution Centers, by taking overarching business strategy, defined and agreed deployment principles, transportation costs, warehouse capabilities (throughput & storage), and ranging into consideration.
  • Lead and manage the implementation and improvement of DC Network planning tools and processes to constantly optimize the way of working and create agility to adapt market changes.
  • Provide the business with advice on short term, tactical, in-season modelling capabilities to optimize setup, reflect latest trends or to take advantage of changes in demand.
  • Report business case information/analytics regarding current and future volumes creating best fit deployment options across the DC network

    Process for Update Demand and Process Management

  • Manage conversion Sell-in / Sell-out situation to demand signal                
  • Chase and adjust Demand and Supply balance regularly             
  • Fulfill necessary inventory to each channel, especially DTC        

    Develop Process / Structure for Flexible Allocation according to Demand: Stock sharing

  • Create Deployment plan regularly for total inventory (on-hand and future inbound) based on Demand signal                
  • Build Structure of "Light Time, Light Products, Light Volume and Light Place"

  • <Inventory Level Optimization>

    -    According to the OTB concept, provide balance plan between sales and inventory (seasonal / monthly) to Channel / Finance to keep the inventory level of company optimal.

    -    Create and submit inventory balance report that reflects the sales trend in season, devise optimizing measures, obtain Management approval, and lead execution for achieving inventory related target.

    -    Feedback the results of Product/Range performance review to Marketing and contribute to efficient seasonal planning for mid/long term.


             Manage OTB concept in Inventory operation

  • Propose and align with Channel/Finance for inventory level of seasonal/monthly.
  • Review balance between sales and inventory, create and lead execution of inventory optimization plan            .

    Maintain Product / Range efficiency    

  • Contribute to optimal Range development by using latest seasonal Product performance/ Ranging situation

  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Supply Chain Management, Information Systems and/or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in deployment related work in Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry
  • Sound understanding of network planning tools – experience with LLamasoft advantageous
  • Advanced in English and Japanese (verbal and written)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint): Advanced
