Operations Director - Brand Expression (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

  • Lead Brand Design Project Management and Operations acting as a delegate for Senior Director Operations.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of Brand Expression processes in your location in an effective, timely and efficient way, enrolling the collaboration and support of brand designers, and key partners
  • Lead a highly effective project management team that provides operational support for all brand design teams (identity, retail, packaging, and communications).

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive Brand Expression project management methods, processes and tools
  • Enable Brand Expression project management to drive on-time and on-budget completion of initiatives and projects
  • Manage respective operating and marketing working budgets
  • Establish freelance and agency roster, uphold standard for industry leading external talent
  • Champion and support the fulfilment of adidas Creative Direction strategies
  • Steer the priorities of Brand Expression project management team in Herzo to fulfill Creative Direction and Brand goals
  • Collaborate with Brand Expression co-Directors to ensure effective cross-discipline communication, collaboration, best practices, and connected Brand Expression organization
  • Propose and implement Brand Design Operations team structure in alignment with creative teams set up.
  • Advise on and co-define Brand Expression processes with Brand Expression Operations Senior Director by identifying opportunities for improvement, changes to processes, resources, and team culture.
  • Drive brand behaviors into your organization, breaking down silos – encouraging a collective brand approach.
  • Create and foster community through organized activities, sharing, social events etc.
  • Build and lead a highly confident, efficient, and collaborative Project Management workforce and provide the platform for long-term, (cross)-functional careers
  • Provide direction to external Brand Expression partners on Operational expectations
  • Establish and build strong relationships with internal and external partners in order to educate, inspire and onboard them on our purpose, our brand expression, and our tools.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or the equivalent in Design Management, Project Mgmt, Biz Admin
  • At least 8 years work experience in Creative/Design field, inhouse or agency experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in leading a team
  • Passion for adidas and it’s mission
  • Passion for sports, culture, design, creative
