Operations Store Manager - Dubai Mall

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: 

 

  • To collaborate and confidently lead the Operations Team to provide a first-class reputation making use of key initiatives, such as Retail Next, whilst prioritising the basics and being a role model of operations for a Brand Halo Store and the wider portfolio
  • To implement, drive and ensure compliance with Global Retail operational directives, processes, policies and standards within the store back office, proposing ideas and solutions to build a world class Brand Flagship Store
  • To support the District Manager in delivering a premium operating model for adidas Retail within its Brand Flagship 
  • To drive profitability of the store within the respective area of responsibility by controlling operational expenses
  • The meet core expectations including coaching team leaders to execute processes to ensure efficient movement of product, store equipment and systems are fully functional
  • To share best practices across the Retail fleet 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  

  • Take full ownership of the store and its commercial success and support District Manager in the commercial success of the store 
  • Analyse relevant data to probe and challenge the status quo within store 
  • Address identified improvement areas, involving the District Manager or other Retail Back Office partners as needed  
  • Drive continuous improvements linked to sales, productivity and profitability  
  • Ensure the legal and financial integrity of the stores  
  • Lead service by example, maximizing the amount of time spent selling and leading team members on the sales floor while coaching Store leaders to meet the required expectations 
  • To continuously motivate and inspire the team, while still setting high expectations maintaining a high-performance team
  • Manage team roster to achieve optimum staff coverage to properly serve customers, drive sales and execute tasks
  • Be a Brand Ambassador, consistently exhibiting the Brand Attitude, Values and Core Belief  
  • Ensure proper in-store Brand execution according to established standards and directives in all stores  
  • Ensure all team members are trained on Foundational and Seasonal Brand and product knowledge in all stores  
  • Manage all store operations in a systematic and efficient manner, as per established policies and procedures in all stores  
  • Ensure all established Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards are consistently executed and maintained  
  • Ensure merchandise deliveries are processed on the same day they arrive, and entire product offer is made immediately available and easily accessible to customers on a consistent basis  
  • Lead and implement all applicable loss prevention policies and procedures   
  • Maintain a safe and productive shopping and working environment  
  • Ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to  
  • Create a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, analysing performance and giving appropriate and prompt feedback, including actively managing poor performance Work with the Halo Store Manager to identify and develop select strong performers with potential for growth along the Retail Field Career Ladder  
  • Seek coaching and learning opportunities to continually improve your performance  
  • Maintain a feedback culture among the team for continuous inclusion and operating rhythm improvement

  • Consumers, Peers, Key Retail Support Functions (i.e Marketing Activations, VM, TM, Operations, Vendors and Supports Functions), Mall Management

  • Proficient with MS applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computer software (Internet, POS Systems, etc) 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:  

 

  • Minimum 5 year’s work experience in a sports/fashion customer- and commercial-focused retail environment with a minimum of 2 years Store Management responsibility  
  • Leadership role in a branded organisation (creating a brand experience) 
  • Successful leadership of a team (50 people +)  
  • Geographical mobility  
  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills
