Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

The role is in the Unified Communication Team within Digital Workplace where we deliver the best-in-class communication products, that enable the adidas employees to communicate, meet and collaborate in real-time wherever they are. With special focus on user experience and cost efficiency.

The active management of products or services for Unified Communications throughout their lifecycle (inception through to retirement) in order to address market opportunities and customer/user needs and generate the greatest possible value for the business. The adoption and adaptation of product development models based on the context of the work and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

The role is meant to support adidas employees by providing last mile services in the EMEA region with the scope of IP Telephony, meeting room and client UC parts like Teams, zoom, Miro. The related services can grow and expand supporting demand and adoption in EMEA region in alignment with Global Product Ownership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Product Owner is expected to manage the below for product area, supporting solution architecture while leading the stakeholders in the EMEA region

  • Extend the product teams in the EMEA region to provide product expertise and consulting on topics
  • Demand management, consulting, and execution (small, standardized changes) for the respective products
  • Collect feedback and demands from the EMEA region to continuously improve the product and keep the Product owners, and product area leads up to date on all demands and feedback
  • Share and collect feedback on the Digital Workplace roadmap and tech strategy from the market
  • Lead local demo's, POC's for new solutions
  • Provide global governance on the above-mentioned products tools and services.
  • Support the EMEA IT and Business teams by providing just in time product expertise on global initiatives
  • Keep the EMEA IT leads and key business stakeholders up to date on all product changes and global initiatives

 

What we are looking for:

  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on IT, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluent spoken and written command of English.
  • At least 5-year progressive work experience in IT or Service Management role (people management not mandatory)
  • Participated in projects with people from other functions/market
  • Good understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts, selecting the appropriate method/tool to resolve the problem and reflecting on the result, such that learning is identified and absorbed
  • Be able to understand and explain the needs of the internal or external stakeholders and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions.
  • Understanding the needs, objectives, and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions and being able to work with different cultures.
  • Applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked.
  • Working co-operatively (rather than competitively) with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Being proactive and creative.

 

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IP Telephony
  • Strong knowledge of networking: LAN/WAN/SD-WAN/WLAN, QoS, …
  • Strong knowledge of Videoconference systems knowledge, deployment and management.
  • Knowledge of: DNS / GeoDNS, SIP, LDAP, Windows Servers
  • Strong knowledge and practice of ITSM
