Project Principal, Sr Project Manager, Head Office (President, NoAm)

In this role you will be creating, developing and driving key projects to help adidas North America execute against our market deliverables for Own The Game.  Your ability to understand the bigger picture, create meaningful projects to accelerate and operationalize success will make you a key contributor to delivering transformational growth.  You will work directly with the President of North America and his leadership team to manage key strategic Initiatives from planning to execution.

Reporting into the North America President, this role will support the President with:

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Manage strategic projects and proposals for NAM President by prioritizing projects, performing research, following up with involved parties, and identifying the appropriate course of action, referral, or response. Develop and implement planning and project management process to help ensure timely and high-quality execution of our Own the Game Strategy 
•    Perform business and operational analyses to support President in fact-based decision making 
•    Contribute to the development and maintenance of the collaboration culture in the Head Office team.
•    Coordinate and manage initiatives on behalf of the NAM President: development, planning and prioritization across functions
•    Facilitate and coordinate President’s meetings, with duties including advance agenda preparation, collecting and organizing relevant information from necessary parties, preparation of needed documents, communication of meeting expectations of all involved parties, and creating/following up on action items and agreements 
•    Own preparation for meetings with duties including agenda preparation, document creation, and collecting and organizing relevant information from necessary parties. 
•    Manage communications for NAM President including the creation of memos, planning, and meeting content.  Assist corporate communications with all President’s communication both internally and partners externally 
•    In support of the President and Senior Leadership Team, own the master calendar across all functions across North America
•    Create presentation proposals for NAM President including the story line, slideshow preparation, speaking notes, and research as required. Working closely with internal communications. 
•    Develop an understanding of strategic Own the Game strategic business plans and operating model in order to clearly articulate complex content to diverse stakeholders, and to be persuasive in communicating the organization’s messages in a variety of settings. This person should be confident in communicating in one-on-ones, team settings, and with large audiences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
•    Capacity to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of people (C suite to apprentices), build relationships, be diplomatic, and exhibit sensitivity to and understanding of the dynamics of a complex organization 
•    Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills 
•    Able to synthesize complex and diverse data to formulate actionable business cases and recommendations 
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level

•    Ability to be creative and solution orientated while developing practical solutions 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 
•    8+ years related business experience required 
•    Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred 
•    Fluent in English 
•    Ability to travel
•    Minimum 3 years of strategy or project management experience preferably in the sporting goods industry
•    Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Communications, MBA preferred
•    Experience working closely with senior executives
•    Excellent skills in creating business presentations for senior executives
