Senior Agile Coach (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


The role of Senior Agile Coaching supports the organization or teams to adopt and improve agile methods and practices. The agile role is part embedded trainer and part consultant—specifically, an adviser. Agile Coaches must educate employees at all levels, including senior on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work. They provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:


• Set coaching goals together with the customer (person/team/department) to define success of agile coaching within context

• Educate from expertise, provide needed training sessions and use coaching skills to help each person to make the transition to agile

• Provide hands-on support, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile.

• Drive the implementation of large-scale agile transformation via mentoring/coaching relevant teams.

• Embody the Agile principles and lead by example. Be a role model for agile.

• Provide transparency and consulting on how to approach challenges in the agile space

• Be able to discuss topics on Senior leadership levels

• Carry out training needs analysis

• Train teams on how to use innovative tools and methodology

• Coach teams on best practices and continuous improvement

• Define goals of coaching sessions and identify areas for improvement

• Deliver trainings in formal (e.g. a classroom), informal (e.g. floor-walking) or online (e.g. e-learning and webinar) settings

• Co-Create course materials and other documents such as hand-outs, manuals and exercises


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient spoken and written command of English
  • At least 7-year experience in IT
  • 5 years of experience in relevant area
  • 2 years of experience in team management
  • Strong understanding & knowledge of regional and global market landscape and the respective customer
  • Managed critical elements and cross functional and regional projects
