Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • Act as a financial consultant and business partner to the CCA team by giving recommendations to drive fact-based decision-making.
  • Support and steer the business to achieve (financial) targets as well as the strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Partner with CCA team in Shanghai and Tokyo as well as Global Brand Finance team by supporting in strategic planning and translating overall BU targets into sub-category targets.
  • Create transparency on KPIs with respect to business plans (e.g. Net Sales, Volume, Margin)
  • Manage medium sized projects and/or actively participate in projects, implement results and ensure sustainability of achievements.
  • Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages to present results, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Develop and implement state of the art analytical tools to improve range creation/planning, margin calculation, market analysis, Strategic Business Planning etc. This includes standard reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis.
  • Constantly optimize day-to-day processes or operational plans and deliver results with direct impact on the department targets.  Work towards the achievement of department targets.
  • Provide financial knowledge to the CCA team and act as an interface between x-functional teams (Marketing, Design, Development, Marketing Operations, CtC-Teams, Strategy etc.) and different development locations (CCH, CCS, CCT, CCV, etc.) to drive alignment and to ensure smooth operation of the business.
  • Support cost center managers in all financial aspects (e.g. investment and recruitment requests, T&E, cost recharges, etc.)
  • Create transparency and documentation for monthly business review meetings including presentation to Senior Management
  • Act as back-up for other team members of the Global Brand Finance team during absences

 

Recurring (Weekly / Monthly) tasks:

 

  • Generate monthly sales, volume and margin reports and provide impactful analysis and insights on trends related to CCA (across Training, NEO, Originals, Running, and Outdoor).
  • Manage monthly Business Review process (analytics, presentation deck, presentation to Senior Management Team).
  • Ensure smooth quarterly Financial RFC process.
  • Work closely with Marketing Teams on any standard and ad hoc requests.
  • Provide Management Team with financial information upon request.
  • Support Director Brand Finance – Training in any arising special projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Deep business understanding of processes and structure

  • Business fluency in English (written and spoken); Mandarin as a plus
  • Very good analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
  • Knowledge about Chinese sport and market as well as about commercial environment as a plus

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Controlling
  • Excellent MS Office (e.g. Excel) and good understanding of analytical systems (e.g. SAP, BI, etc.)
  • 3-5 years professional work experience
