Senior Continuous Improvement & Automation Manager (M/ F)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The main scope for this function includes cross-functional back-office processes (Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report, Hire to Retire, Controlling and Reporting) within adidas GBS, HQ functions, core markets and other adidas entities.

 

The Digitization Journey includes Service Design, as well as Process Analysis, Improvement, Standardization and Automation. The goal of the role is the creation of a scalable operating model, generating efficiencies and easing the life of the adidas employees.

 

The Senior CI & Automation Manager is responsible for leading the digital and CI transformation, by driving the co-creation of solutions and culture for adidas GBS organization.

 

As standardization and quality of service is a priority this role is playing critical role to make sure right tools and frameworks are in place to support this journey.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Co-create and drive the strategy and operation model for CI and automation
  • Manage the team of internal and external developers to deliver RPA and automation of processes
  • Demand management for process improvements, RPA and automation services - business case assessment, solution assessment and development using state of the art (project) management methodologies and tools
  • Drive innovation through keeping ahead of technology & automation methodology trends and evaluating opportunity/value for GBS to enable digital transformation
  • Create a learning organization and foster an entrepreneurial growth mindset
  • Ensure the proper execution of the CI and RPA & Automation framework, based on the strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end (E2E) processes in Global Business Services (GBS)
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment with different international cultures.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups), especially when interacting with different levels of business stakeholders.
  • Business mindset: very good numerical and analytical skills, experience in finance with basic budget knowledge.
  • Ability to work and deliver in changing environments, under limited guidance while adhering to specified deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment with different international cultures.
  • Experience in managing projects on a global level is preferred
  • Strong expertise in the use of agile/ scrum methods is preferred
  • GBS or Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Fluent English (verbal and written).

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the area of continuous improvement and / or automation
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive work experience in mid to large-scale project or program management and/or in digital transformation projects.
  • College or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Scrum, LSS and/or PMI certified preferred
  • Experience in Execution of Innovation Methods or Problem Solving (e.g. Design Thinking) preferred
  • Lean & Green or Black Belt Six Sigma certified is a plus
