  1. General Purpose

As a Senior Digital Creative Manager (Design) at adidas you are accountable for a wide range of digital concepts and solutions. You will be leading digital creative projects from concept to completion with a focus on the adidas membership programe - following the global brand direction, style guides and tone of voice policies for adidas. You will work with the creative team - including copywriters, designers and producers - as well as all strategic stakeholders. Additionally, you manage a team of designers within Creative Services to create industry leading concepts. You are responsible for sharing templates and best practices and educating teams on responsive and effective direct marketing communications.



  1. Key Responsibilities 

Scope:  Accountable for delivery of a wide range of creative digital concepts and solutions


  1. Digital Creative Concepts and Solutions
  • Lead the delivery of design for digital campaigns, projects and toolkits for BUs, markets and DBC.
  • Contribute to the design direction for digital campaigns and creative concepts.
  • Lead the creation of progressive and creative digital concepts from ideation to final execution.
  • Collaborate with digital creative experts, freelancers and agencies ensuring efficient delivery of digital creative assets and augmenting internal competencies with external input within your scope of responsibility.


  1. Creative Standards
  • Drive the creation of digital design guidelines and ensure implementation through templates and toolkits, enabling global consistency and raising the quality of execution.
  • Drive creative reviews and ensure the brand is represented consistently across all design deliverables within your scope of responsibility.
  • Drive continuous improvements and elevation of digital design deliverables within your scope of responsibility.
  • Keep up to date with trends in digital technologies and digital design practices and train the team.
  • Contribute to the digital creative community by sharing and incorporating best practices.


  1. Creative Consultation & Collaboration
  • Consult major stakeholders on digital design and provide examples of innovative solutions for new digital creative concepts.
  • Present your designs and concepts to major stakeholders and support your work with a clear rational and recommendations. Challenge stakeholders and business owners to ensure optimized solutions for consumer, business and the brand.
  • Understand business needs and collaborate with the Consumer Engagement, .com, and Marketing teams to create effective digital design solutions.

  1. Requirements
  1. Education & Experience
  • Degree with focus on Design and related areas
  • 8+ years of experience as a Digital, Interactive and/or Visual Designer
  • Experience working with brands developing creative solutions on a global level
  • Experience in design industry and ability to predict future trends
  • Experience developing successful concepts and working in collaborative multi-functional teams
  • 2+ years of experience in leading a team


  1. Soft-Skills
  • Very good communication & negotiation skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely
  • Capacity to establish mid and long term plans, drive execution and analyze results
  • Consistency across designs while maintaining a creative approach
  • Creative and energetic team player who has a passion for creative design & copywriting
  • Strong ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships with the Group
  • Affinity with the Brand Marketing content delivery needs, solutions and processes
  • Good people management skills are required


  1. Hard-Skills
  • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of Digital/Mobile Marketing
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML & CSS can do and what’s possible to achieve
  • In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluent English skills both verbally and written
