Senior Director Digital Strategy & Innovation

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Senior Director Digital Strategy and Innovation is the key enabler to creating the overarching Digital strategy, driving alignment of the core Digital strategy with extended stakeholder network (inside and outside Digital). Translating strategy to top-level 12-month priorities into a tangible change management transformational and communication milestone with clearly defined communication strategy to all relevant touchpoints and interfaces. In addition, this role manages the core business development projects for new opportunities and driving major changes related to people, new strategic areas etc. Further, the role combined with the strategic outlook is responsible for driving innovation and future pipeline of technical and consumer-facing experiences on a 12-18mo horizon outlook, contributing back to carious product teams in Digital.

 

Key Responsibilities

Digital Growth & innovation

  • Head office / Transformation governance, Support, lead and drive change / transformation management plan across internal Digital and wider organization
  • GCA Digital Acceleration & growth portfolio Management incl. annual and quarterly priority management
  • Create and consolidate Digital initiative priorities and drive X-functional program management & lead global digital interaction. For each top priority a scope outline with a high-level decom position of phases. Align roadmap with all internal, market and other key stakeholders

 

Digital Strategy & Partnerships

  • Scope and propose Digital ambition & branded commerce strategy – integrate input on insights, trends and emerging priorities provided by Digital functions, product domains and markets. Drive interaction and sync with all group strategy functions.
  • Annual strategic planning & quarterly updates with global which covers
    • Digital culture and working rhythm, including agile framework to enable success
    • Approach to bridge omni world and key partnerships
    • Our key positioning and objectives
    • Compilation of all domain strategies and aligned overarching Digital
  • Digital Strategic partnership identification & commercialization
  • Digital Technology Partnerships with BAT and quarterly T2T engagement 

 

Digital Innovation & Consumer Insights

  • Conceptual development of new propositions & models with market benchmark 
  • Lead/ incubation of new projects/propositions (e.g. Apparel Push. Gen Z personalization, Search marketing)
  • Digital consumer profiling & Consumer segmentation/ Liaison with ISV/vendors
  • Drive innovation to influence search  & SoS KPI

 

People Management

  • Evaluates the competencies of subordinates on regular basis ad provides prompt feedback and guidance to drive high performance
  • Promotes a high-performance culture by setting expectations and individual goals
  • Takes ownership for Talent Management processes to grow, develop and retain talents

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of Digital Ecosystem, including a vision of future opportunities and challenges preferred.
  • Strategic mindset with strong executional abilities
  • Solutions orientation, adaptability and ability to deal with ambiguous situations
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Change management capabilities
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Capability to reduce complexity and to identify / manage dependencies
  • Organizational design and development experience would be an advantage
     
    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • Preferred master’s degree in business administration
  • Min. 15 years professional experience in multi-national business environment
  • Min. 8 years managing experience (including managing teams)
  • Solid end-to-end understanding of Digital, eCommerce, Data and Analytics, Omnichannel processes and systems
  • Solid expertise, 5+ years, managing strategy development, change and comms process for topics within director or associated digital domain areas
