Senior Director Global Early Career Talent Acquisition & Programs (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Develop and drive the adidas Group Early Career Talent Acquisition & Development strategy on a global level to ensure a strong pipeline of entry level talent within the organization.


Key Recruiting Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive internal and external benchmarking to build, evolve and continuously advance the organizational approach to future talent acquisition including but not limited to intern recruitment, research partnerships and a specific focus on expanding the breadth of relationships with key university partners.
  • Directly and indirectly lead a team of recruiters to drive key strategies across regions, markets and functions.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the organizational needs associated to university partnerships and talent to develop customized strategies to maximize impact of university hires.
  • Partner with senior leaders on a global level across all business functions to attract and engage future generations of leaders for adidas.
  • Develop a framework for high impact future talent recruiting events including campus and virtual engagements to attract top university talent.
  • Partner with university career centers, academic department chairs and faculty at key universities to establish deeper and more mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Work with recruiters, business leadership and human resources to ensure best practice future talent activities are conducted on a global level.
  • Build strong relationships with university career centers and graduate programs to increase visibility into jobs and internships and participate in on-campus and virtual events.
  • Continuously evaluate, Identify and Implement new and innovative ways to build a talent pipeline across universities.
  • Act as an internal and external facing representative of the adidas Group and our talent acquisition team at in-person and virtual recruiting events.
  • Build an organizational strategy and structure to support the evolving organizational needs as it relates to Early Career recruitment.
  • Establish structured development programs to accelerate the success of early career (interns, graduates) talent hired to the organization.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and client management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and good overall computer skills.
  • Experience using ATS/CRM recruiting systems and online recruiting resources (i.e. Linked In).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with change.
  • Experience sourcing all levels candidates through a broad range of sourcing channels.
  • Overall knowledge of job boards and job advertising and candidate marketing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor recruiters and lead people towards achieving objectives.
  • Proven performance achieving goals and standards.
  • Proven high level of project management, budget management and stakeholder management
  • Analytical skills for analysis with complex issues in a global environment
  • Deep understanding of the overall strategy and derived goals. Ability to translate goals in actionable projects or tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentation and facilitation skills to all employees including senior management
  • International and intercultural experience
  • Fluent in English



Experience Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in recruiting (5+ years management experience).
  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a University Recruiter or within a University setting.
  • Minimum 2 years experience conducting university recruiting on a global level.
  • Experience leading early career development programs (graduate / apprenticeships)
  • Proven knowledge of the footwear and apparel industry, adidas Group products and functional expertise across multiple business units and a strong understanding of regional recruiting trends.
