Senior Director Reporting (m/f/d)

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION

The Corporate Controlling function plays an integral part in the financial steering of the company. It includes all aspects of management reporting, financial planning, budgeting and performance management on a company level. The analyses and reports provide transparency to the Executive Board and drive both decision operational and strategic decision making and resource allocation across our Global Sales (markets and channels) and Global Brands (product categories and marketing) matrix organization. The Senior Director Reporting is responsible to drive timely, accurate, consistent, and insightful standard financial management reports/dashboards & analyses for the Executive Board and Investor Relations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports SVP Corporate Controlling to manage and drive consolidated financial P&L and B/S performance on a Total Company level
  • Manages consolidated and cross-functional financial views and analyses for Senior management and Board members
  • Facilitates analysis of actuals, forecasts and budgets across markets, channels and key categories and provides analytical insight to support Senior Management in their decision making
  • Delivers transparent reporting about Company P&L & B/S in all different management dimensions (Markets, Channel, Brands, Product Category, Functions)
  • Drives performance management processes which provide a framework to steer the business in line with strategic goals and/or key focus points
  • Reviews, evaluates, and implements new reporting policies/procedures driving reporting efficiencies. Act in a governance function for Board & Board-1 Reporting
  • Provides guidance and input to develop a harmonized system landscape for operational, management reporting and business analysis
  • Builds and leads a highly engaged team and provides the platform for long-term, cross-functional careers

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills (structuring, analysis, synthesis)
  • Very strong understanding of FP&A, controlling and finance; knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong analytical mindset and facility with numbers
  • Strong ability to draw to-the-point conclusions and recommendations
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers
  • Strong interpersonal skills (stakeholder mgmt., influencing, executive presence)
  • Strong leadership skills incl. experience in managing teams
  • Proven leadership track record - coach, inspire, guide, manage & develop
  • Excellent communication, influencing & negotiation skills to appropriately serve senior executives, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders, peers and customers
  • Innovative, action-oriented and solution-minded team player
  • Ability to maneuver in consistently challenging environment
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Finance – MBA preferred
  • Highly specialized level of business acumen
  • Extensive depth of theoretical knowledge and organizational practice or expertise across several areas
  • 10 years of broad-based operational finance experience with progressive responsibility in industry leading companies
