Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Transform the purchasing strategy and develop SPEED program(s) for adidas China


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead and develop SPEED and purchasing strategy in GCA supply chain to adapt to the new business model and enable supply chain agility for the growing Direct-to-Consumer business.
  • In conjunction with global and GCA x-functional teams, translate high-level global SPEED and purchasing strategy into GCA strategy, determine and drive project/program scoping and roadmaps, and design detailed project plan and milestone deliverables. 
  • Set and monitor the project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan in order to implement corrective or preventative actions.
  • Manage and orchestrate all interdependencies of deliverables across all functions. Ensure connectivity and alignment between GCA Purchasing and SPEED/transformation topics.
  • Drive implementation of new purchasing model and SPEED programs in GCA together with GCA Business Development.
  • Lead all project meetings and senior management team steering board meetings. Act as key point of contact with all Global and local stakeholders related to SPEED/transformation.
  • Ongoing tracking of project progress, monitoring of quality inputs & outputs, and managing issues/risks
  • Lead the change management approach for respective projects/programs and ensure changes are smoothly and successfully implemented to achieve lasting benefits.
  • Finalize all activities across the projects/programs to formally close and hand over the project into the business, ensuring project documents are approved, completed, maintained and stored appropriately.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of general business experience
  • Experience with leading consumer brand
  • Extensive experience in and strong skills of process and project management
  • Experience in working closely with middle and senior managers across functions
  • Experience in leading management consulting firm is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge in product creation & development processes and supply chain operations
  • University degree or above with related qualification
  • Solid skills in Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  • Basic statistics and modeling knowledge 
  • Strong communication skills – written and spoken English and Mandarin
