Senior Director Workplaces Management Greater China

Purpose: 
Workplaces is responsible for the active management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio including leases and transactions, design, construction and operations for offices, showrooms and DC’s for adidas in most regions. This supports the successful implementation of “Creating the New” by supporting revenue growth, portfolio optimization and creating great workplaces to attract and retain top talent across the globe. To ensure a successful and sustainable Portfolio, Workplaces collaborates within an extensive network of internal / external stakeholders and industry experts to provide value added service. 

 

The Senior Director Workplace Management GCA is responsible for the strategic and conceptual development and operation of the assigned service areas of the adidas locations in the respective market. This role will set the highest standards for the operation of facilities and generate “best practices” as leading example for other sites. This role leads the teams of technical and infrastructural FM. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Lead, create, manage and deliver consistent, first-class facility management service standards (technical and infrastructural FM) of the adidas locations in the region within the agreed budgets, schedules and scope, focusing on experience, expectations and our internal customers to create the best work environment for adidas employees.
•    Lead and drive the integration of the market under one workplace management leadership
•    Ensure the operators responsibility and the employer obligations with regard to occupational safety and health protection for the respective areas of responsibility, as well as the support of occupational safety in the company, in accordance with the applicable laws and guidelines and minimizing possible risks. 
•    Deliver  projects and operate existing facilities within time, cost & quality standards 
•    Identify and implement opportunities to improve employee experience aligned with change implementation framework and consistent with an 80% Global / 20% Local approach
•    Develop, own and track operating budgets, including monthly forecasts. 
•    Identify, define and realize savings in the service areas. Optimization of IT-based processing and internal processes so that employees can concentrate on their core tasks.
•    Drive data collection & data quality in compliance with global standards
•    Balance internal vs. external resources and ensure a flexible set-up while balancing costs and dependencies. Manage performance & contract management of external suppliers
•    Create and maintain a network within the industry to keep informed on key trends and attend relevant conferences to manage learnings and build a talent pipeline
•    Develop and lead the regional team, coach, develop and build a high performing team
•    Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders and build a broad network that integrates relevant departments within Workplaces and adidas to implement and embed organizational changes.

•    Proven track record for implementing complex and cross functional projects
•    Thorough understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within a large, international
company
•    Very strong communication expertise, both written and verbal; ability to communicate and influence at the executive-level 
•    Business fluency in English (written and spoken) and the regional language
•    Significant business travel (25-40%) will be required

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 
•    University Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent experience
•    Significant experience in leading and developing large teams
•    10-15 years of experience in the management of corporate real estate properties and operations
