Senior Manager, Creative Shoot & Production

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

Manage and deliver internal and consumer facing cross-media (print, digital and TV) shoot and production solutions for all Communications activation levels:

  • The leadership and management of internal / external producers on executing shoots
  • Executing more complex and large-scale productions
  • Input and support on strategic and production infrastructure directives (AKA “Production Operations”) including leading certain assignments under such directives

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and management:

  • Understanding Communications agency briefs, calendars, budgets, creative approach and final creative to inform team resource decisions, realise shoot efficiency opportunities and ultimately ensure on-time delivery to markets, on-budget and quality productions
  • Within geographical / category teams identifying resource gaps, recruitment of internal and external producers and production support, training and development, externals’ SoW and payments, assignment / placement per shoot and general management of their daily tasks

 

Executing

  • Producing, leading and being the production authority on large-scale shoots
  • Creatively producing best value, innovative and integrated shoots that fulfil the creative vision and optimise the creative opportunity, feasibility checks, art buying of creative capture (directors / videographers / photographers) when required, procuring appropriate production resources (agency production resources, production companies / houses, freelance producers, crew, glam, locations etc.), managing production costs (bids / estimate reviews, negotiations and payments), production timelines (pre-production, shoot and post schedules), correct Business Affairs (clearances and insurances), product sample sourcing and provision, securing athlete and talent attendance (together with Communications and Sports Marketing / Entertainment and Influencer Marketing), travel requirements of non-adidas persons, on-set attendance and production, facilitating the post-production retouching / editing to English language master process, facilitating the music sync to picture, wrapping including Production Completion Reports and initiating cost reconciliations and shoot image / footage archiving
  • Responsible for the marketing content creation at events

 

Strategic and production infrastructure directives (Production Operations):

  • Supporting the creating, developing, implementation and use of production standards, processes, policies and tools
  • Supporting the management of production infrastructure including the Shoot Calendar, Team Flight Board, Production Preferred Suppliers List, internal owned / leased studios, external production cost consultancy, Business Affairs initiatives, stock imagery relationships and shoot product samples process
  • Lead certain assignments

KPIs:

  • Realising the creative vision and optimising the creative opportunity with creative producing
  • Shoots and quality final deliverables delivered on-time and on-budget
  • Cross-Business Unit and cross-discipline integrated shoot solutions
  • Solid internal and external resourcing of producers and production support to service internal clients and balanced allocation of workload
  • Financial efficiency of Communications production budgets and OOH including travel and expenses

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Team management experience - recruitment, training and development of internal and external personnel
  • Experience in cross-media (print, digital and TV) shoot or event production with knowledge of producing in worldwide locations / for worldwide markets
  • Working knowledge of production in client, agency and production company / house
  • Experience within or servicing an international brand
  • Budget management and cost negotiations of 1+ mio EUR budgets per production (and mostly TV lead)
  • Experience in working with athletes and / or celebrities
  • Solid understanding of marketing industries, processes and communication channels
  • Experience in contributing to the development and deployment of marketing strategic / operational initiatives
  • Broad understanding and passion for the sports industry

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in cross-media (print, digital and TV) shoot production with knowledge of producing in worldwide locations / for worldwide markets
  • 2+ years’ experience managing a team
  • Experience in managing a mixed model internal / external team an advantage
  • Proven strong academics including a Shoot Production, Marketing, Business, Art or related degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience client-side within an international brand is an advantage
  • Experience within sporting goods and / or fashion brands an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Apple OS
  • Fluent (spoken and written) in English.  Additional languages are an advantage.
