Senior Program Manager Distribution Centre

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • Lead CN DC Initiatives and APAC DC initiatives as add hoc
  • Lead and coordinate DC projects, ensure the execution of the solution and actions
  • Initiatives Define and implement process standards for CN SCM and APAC SCM if necessary
  • Implement market and Global process standard
  • Identify and implement internal & external and Global & Market best-practices
  • Continuous Improvement actions and process
  • Support Scale-up with new Incubated process and networks
  • Give input on market processes and best-practices to APAC DCs
  • Monitor and continuously improve process perform
  • Scan and assess the impact of new business models & tech
  • Benchmark DC performance against competitors & trends

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in developing supply chain network and deployment models from the engineering point of view using business requirements and constraints, working closely with DC network design team.
  • Together with DC Ops and Lean team to find new opportunities and drive DC performance / productivity / piece cost continuous improvement.
  • Analyze and prioritize key business requirements from various internal stakeholders to develop a list of scenarios for the target design of DC;
  • Analyze and prioritize various external factors which will have an impact on the deployment strategy optimization to include in the scenarios;
  • Develop business cases including comprehensive analysis of cost and customer service benefits for the target design of DC;
  • Support effective communication benefits of the target supply chain design and deployment strategy from the business point of view to various senior stakeholders inside the company;
  • Define and validate with the project leader and the business stakeholders a scope and plan of the workstream;
  • Communicate effectively project tasks inside the workstream acting as an intermediary between the business requirements and engineering aspects of the modelling;
  • Lead and drive initiatives and projects for service upgrade and continuous improvement;
  • Monitor the external environment with sales and marketing leadership and identify opportunities to fulfil the corporate strategy.
  • Monitor and continuously improve process perform
  • Take ownership for business performance updates to management team.
  • Benchmark SC performance against competitors and industry best practice;
  • Introduce Supply Chain and Logistic new trends, new Technology, new idea, new study and new solutions;
  • Differentiate adidas logistic service from other brands;
  • To support/drive System upgrade (MS/SAP/WMS/TMS) aligned with business and SCM expectations;
  • To drive/Lead project for the new Tech/idea/ solution/Process deployment;
  • To support the connection between business/KA/SCMs for the future corporation and align the key next steps and follow-ups.
  • To connect within SCM x-functional teams for an overall understanding of the SCM.

 

 

Key Relationships:

 

  • Internal contacts include all SCM teams, DC Ops, Lean, finance, IT, BUs, Legal, Purchasing.
  • Global central team (FIN/IT/ Legal/Purchasing...);
  • Global /regional/local project teams;
  • Market organizations (LSPs, Universities/ experts/consultants/ and Key customers.)

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • In depth knowledge of overall SCM;
  • Strong project management skill;
  • Strategic, self-motivated, open-minded and ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Must have strong analytical skills and logical thinking with paying high attention to details
  • Competency with SAP, WMS, MS Excel, MS Access and Project is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English
  • Experience of working in central team within APAC level and coordinating with Global central team and Project teams.
  • X-functional analytical and problem-solving skill/capability
  • Self-leadership and ownership for projects to deploy and implement the new Tech/Solutions.
  • Operational/Flow/process/system familiarity of further improvement
  • Excellent Presentation skill/logic with qualitative and quantitative analysis.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, majored in SCM/Logistics/IT/IE;
  • 8-10+ years working experience
  • Experience with ERP/SAP/WMS/TMS...
  • Familiar with BI systems;
  • Experience in retail or FMCG a plus
