Senior Manager, Field Sales

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

To ensure profitable market share and net sales growth with Field Accounts in Market Pacific while respecting the image of the adidas Group brands.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • For direct and (if any) indirect reports (see most recent organization chart).
  • Net Sales Field Area.
  • Sales working budget Area.
  • Cost Center budget.
  • Field Account receivables.

 

Key Tasks:

 

Functional

 

  • Implement the Field Excellence strategy.
  • Develop the overall strategy for the field account portfolio based on Global and Market strategies jointly with the Sales Director and get sign off by the Managing Director.
  • Ensure the Field organization is applying available adidas Group standards and best practices in daily work.
  • Support negotiation and enforcement of adidas Group trade terms.
  • Ensure all customers are allocated to the correct sales channels.
  • Group field customers, set objectives, strategies, tactics, allocate resources and ensure translation into action plans respecting the framework set by the customer portfolio strategies.
  • Ensure execution of the field CSS and track results.

 

Controlling

 

  • To measure progress on own KPIs.
  • To report to all superiors, potentially along MIS guidelines.
  • To monitor all reports.
  • To monitor and report on customers and competitors sell-through and activities, and propose/initiate/take actions.
  • To provide realistic plans and forecasts on customers performances.
  • To ensure customer compliance with agreements.

 

Personnel

 

  • Staff most suitable persons in direct report positions in alignment with Sales Director and HR Director.
  • Set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all reports.
  • Develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job.
  • Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along all interfaces.
  • Establish an appropriate organizational framework for the field organization jointly with the Sales Director in line with the Global organizational blueprint.

 

KPIs:

 

  • Total net sales development according to budget.
  • Market share development.
  • Team motivation and development.
  • DSO of Field accounts.
  • Implementation of Regional Field initiatives.

 

Key Relationships:

 

  • Global - Global Channel Management, Sales Development.
  • Market - Head of Range Mgt., Account Mkt., Planning, Logistics, Retail Customer Service, Sales Coordination.

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Functional - > 4 years in sales, ideally with wholesale focus.
  • Industry - ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG.
  • Leadership - > 4 years’ experience.
  • Exposure - Sports.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University Degree in business with marketing and sales focus.
