Senior Manager, Project Office (Supply Chain Management), APAC

Please note that this role is titled as Senior Manager, Head Office, SCM, APAC internally. 



The Senior Manager, Head office - SCM works across to ensure a clear and efficient process for communications and change management. This role delivers ad hoc and periodic communication documents for all levels of the organization and drives the Communications Framework utilized across APAC Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions to ensure a consistent approach, as well as to provide leadership on change management workstreams on key projects and initiatives to ensure a smooth path of change and related communication strategy.


Furthermore, the role supports the VP APAC SCM Senior Management Team in driving activities across the function to help bring the strategy to fruition.


Key Responsibilities:   

  • Work alongside VP SCM APAC in guiding and continuously evolving the APAC SCM organization
  • Support VP APAC SCM in defining their ‘management agenda’, priorities and objectives for the APAC SCM organization including APAC market inputs
  • Monitor progress in achieving key transformational initiative milestones and objectives in collaboration with the Senior Management Team (SMT), and drive implementation of the ‘management agenda’ through preparing relevant SMT meeting/calls, ensuring structured follow-up on key topics / action items
  • Drive organizational reviews and changes across APAC SCM organization including structural changes and hiring approach in collaboration with HR to improve organization’s operation efficiency and excellence business process
  • Support and drive strategy evolution jointly with APAC SCM Leadership Team in organizational engagement
  • Create communication framework and implement key updates of APAC SCM to ensure efficient operation within SCM
  • Facilitate and manage all APAC SCM Senior Leadership meetings and key events including harmonising with APAC Market as well as Global SCM calendar of meetings/ events
  • Support development and implementation of change management plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, capability transfer, training as well as risk assessment and mitigation
  • Provide leadership and support for APAC market initiatives as needed
  • Support the Strategic Business Plan process, and the annual objectives setting process
  • Influence and manage any ad hoc issue resolution, coordinate solutions across the different functions of the organization both for APAC and for Global SCM

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to bridge strategic, tactical, and operational business concepts and developments by applying an end-to-end mindset
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with fundamental principles of E2E Supply Chain Operations & Systems
  • Pro-active and ability to think E2E with an APAC/Global mindset.
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Understand complexity and challenges of business in the field and conceptually.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Excellent numerical/analytical skills. Strong ability to identify root cause and solve problems
  • Strong English language proficiency both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate discussions in small and large groups
  • Ability to influence internal stakeholders in their adoption of the simulation tool


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor or above degree, major in Supply Chain management is a plus
  • 7 + years of international progressive working experience in supply chain management, ideally in the Sporting Goods/Retail/eCommerce/FMCG industries
  • Direct experience in driving Performance Management
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations that ‘tell the story’

Experience in driving Performance Management

  • Proven track record in project and/or portfolio management and change management, preferably in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent MS Office skills
