Senior Manager, eCommerce Buying & Planning

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:


This role is responsible for providing visibility and transparency for South East Asian (SEA) Ecommerce buying metrics to maximize the sales, profitability and brand equity of this direct to consumer channel. This incumbent is expected to provide buying analysis for & E-Com for SEA and drive fact-based decision making. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders in eCommerce (eCom) SEA and the SEA Hub buying team to build, deliver & interpret regular (Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/seasonal) category business & trading updates
  • Lead, coach and guide junior eCom buyers to provide strategic actions & recommendations based on analysis and trending for current & future buys regarding volume & distribution to maximize sales and profitability
  • Be aware and contribute to improvements in allocation and replenishment 
  • Proactively improve on the framework for key promotional analysis techniques 
  • Track, analyze, interpret and provide recommendations based on/for
    • Market benchmarks and KPIs on productivity and sell thru
    • Improvement of space vs sales management across SEA
    • Forecast planning on business unit level, net sales, margin and ASP
    • Detailed category reports- To influence in-season & end of season markdown strategy
    • Product mix according to Country, Season, Target customer, share of categories, gender mix, etc.

•    Provide insight and suggestion for eCommerce channels in reconciliation with the SEA Hub buying teams.
•    Support the enhancement of all product planning systems and tools to suit world class buying practice across SEA.
•    Drive eCommerce capacity planning processes for all SEA countries.
•    Provide insights and influence integrated business planning

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership with a minimum 5 to 6 years’ experience in relevant roles
  • Strong business acumen with solid exposure in brand ecommerce business, category know-how and savvy in market trend 
  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • A great communicator with excellent ability in influencing people; fluent in English is a must
  • Ability to challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement.
  • Exposure in managing multiple SEA markets will be a plus
