Senior Manager 3D Creator Support FTW - DC E2E

Focus Area of Contribution & Strategic Relevance:

Digital Creation E2E is a strategic board program under the digital umbrella building the must-have adidas creation infrastructure of the future. Focus is to digitize the end-to-end creation-to-shelf value chain, covering marketing, creation, sourcing (supplier integration) and sell-in.

 

It is an integral part of adidas strategy “Own The Game”

 

 

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

This is a key in-house position for an organized, passionate and goal-oriented creator (covering design and development). Support the creator teams in readiness for Digital Creation E2E transformation.

 

  • Definition & implementation of DC E2E creative processes and tools within Design across FTW, ensuring sustainability to deliver all DC E2E targets.
  • Maintain upskilling and training of Design & Development teams across all divisions to secure DC E2E ramp up plans.
  • Act as the GCA Creator E2E ambassador within Design & Development communities across divisions in terms of process and tool adoption.
  • Support the implementation of Digital Asset quality standards aligned with DC E2E, ensuring Designers achieve required standards of partners creation.
  • Mature competence center approach and secure seasonal tool, template, training readiness of all FTW design & devlopment staff

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the process to upskill and on-board design teams across all divisions, enabling DC E2E targets to be achieved.
  • Align with DC E2E MVPs teams in HQ to cover process updates, training needs for designers, based on upskilling needs identified due to DC E2E transformation.
  • Create & adapt & sophistiicate training materials to the aligned quality as requested to upskill and train designers on new technologies, ensuring 3D assets produced by design are compliant with partner’s quality standards.
  • Fully support designers across the business, including in scope BU’s and locations for successful implementation of DC E2E ramp up. Buffering the creative workload peaks as needed to enable sustainable Digital Creation upskilling of designers.
  • Conduct comprehensive trainings within the design community, ensuring they are fully effective and giving the predefined results.
  • Support the definition and implementation of Digital Asset quality standards aligned with DC E2E, Business teams (incl. ACT, Development, Sourcing, Sales) – ensuring Designers achieve required standards of partner’s creation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within DC E2E process whilst training and supporting the designers. Ensure these opportunities are fed back into the business for future development.
  • Support to identify new technologies, tool testing & training needs, providing a creator user point of view.
  • Ensure participation of teem in user testing of all new technologies/tools/solutions prior to implementation.

 

Key Relationships:

 

  • Work with and support the key stakeholders’ group within DC E2E / GCA
  • Support and or lead project activities partnering with stakeholders of the CCS / GCA community
  • Be actively involved in upskilling and training concepts and timelines with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Training Academy)
  • Stakeholders can relate to the following core functions
  • Designers, Design Directors, Developers, Development Directors
  • Project Managers 
  • Digital Creation and IT4Design 
  • Brand Operations and Marketing Operations 
  • Factory Development and Virtualization Teams 
  • Product Creation Technologies 
  • External Creative Resources (agencies, freelancers, developers, etc) 
  • Be part of a larger digital transformation hub, holistically driving digital transformation at adidas

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Between 5-7 years of relevant work experience in digital transformation environment (e.g.  top tier consulting, project management, apparel/fashion, IT domain);
  • Within which 2-3 years proven track record of experience in digital transformation focusing on 3D Design and Digital Creation E2E within Apparel and Footwear industries
  • Progressive work experience in CAD.Rhino 3D Applications such as Modo, Rhino Blender preferred, Crispin for Pattern engineering.
  • University degree
