Senior Manager Asset Publishing (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Senior asset publishing Manager is responsible for the strategy, development, planning, management, and execution of the adidas asset publishing needs within the central brand communications/newsroom team. The main focus is developing digital tools, activities and concepts in order to drive engagement and brand impact under the direction given by the Director Brand Communications.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Own the development of an effective digital and social media strategy for selected contracted x-category assets in brand marketing based on key objectives and key moments

  • Manage the development, production and execution of effective and integrated tools for our top local assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure flawless execution and seamless connection plans: SpoMa, eCom, Retail, Media, PR, DBC, CtC, EIM
  • Work in close collaboration with the player management, Sportsmarketing and EIM team to build effective relationships with our assets and their management teams to deliver the best outcome for the brand.
  • Be a leader in promoting this area of the business. Educate all stakeholders and act as a leader for growing this area and the collective knowledge base of internal teams.
  • Ensure this area has effective connection planning with all other functions, including PR, Digital Publishing, Retail and Brand Communications.
  • Deliver seasonal strategies for the top assets and key community heads
  • Build a strategic plan around how to best activate our key brand moments
  • Work with Brand Communication Director/Newsroom Head to deliver a clear POV on how SpoMa and EIM assets should be activated by the wider business (outside of SpoMa / EIM).
  • Develop local launch plans and social publishing calendar around key stories and content for the assets channels
  • Lead the coordination of platforms, systems and processes to ensure the right messages are delivered to the right communities and / or individuals at the right time
  • Deliver tools, content, information and processes to the markets and newsrooms in order to activate the local social strategy
  • Connect with regional and global stakeholders (e.g. asset publishing in the European and global Newsrooms) to ensure alignment of the local, European and global strategies
  • In partnership with the Digital Analytics team, establish relevant metrics to map the impact of digital publishing activities and amend strategies based on learnings and patterns recaps
  • Coordinate and distribute documentation of project information with internal and external groups. 

  • Manage and get the best return from the allocated budget

  • SpoMa, Brand Marketing Team [horizontal team members] across PR, Retail and Communications. 

  • eCommerce, Newsrooms, Digital Experience and global asset strategy team. 


  • Newsroom communities in local markets. 


  • Digital and social agencies. 




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep-rooted understanding of an ever-changing digital landscape and all social media channels. 


  • Advanced experience in project management - including critical path management to deliver projects on time and within budget. 


  • Experience with digital and social media production process and technical nature of developing digital and social marketing initiatives. An ability to collaborate and manage platforms and tools used by multiple functions.

  • Working knowledge of: Office software, development languages [including but not limited to: HTML, DHTML, Flash, Javascript, XML, asp, java, CSS], analytics systems, standard CMS platforms; and, digital channels [social, owned properties and emerging technologies].

 
In-depth category knowledge:

  • Experience as an interactive strategist, project manager, community manager or directly related experience
  • Ability to manage the implementation of a strategic campaign within the digital and social media space
  • Natural story-teller and visual communicator
  • Experience partnering with and leading internal resources. 

  • An ability to articulate which elements of digital and social marketing are suitable for different 
campaigns and how they deliver results. 

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized. 

  • German and English fluent [spoken and written]. 

  • Demonstrated understanding experience delivering solutions or services via new and emerging web technologies.

 
 Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree required
  • Advanced degree desired
  • 5 years experience in Digital Marketing and Social Media in the Sports, Lifestyle and Fashion industry
