Senior Manager Assortment Planning SP, GCA

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


  • DRIVE assortment plans for mono brand on GCA level by channel / store clusters


Key Responsibilities:


  • Create assortment plans by channel/store clusters based on GCA RA, local needs & C/C calendar
  • Create detailed product & store segmentation/cluster for all C/C’s by Product segment & store segmentation
  • Communicate AP for Mono at selected GTM milestones and final handover to C/C DTC (for depth completion), with BD sign-off
  • Develop assortment seasonal strategy, according to segmentation, local needs and sell-out data for Monobrand stores & eCom
  • Create and Recompile a clear merchandising strategy at a store cluster level
  • Integrate with BC and RM into c/c campaign planning with right mandatory package to build up at cluster level
  • Integrate VM, CM Upfront into Assortment Building Process and support creation of VM renderings
  • Support for/during the C/Cs Trade Meetings for Franchise customers
  • Best seller mapping and weekly review of ST and define actions
  • Co-sign-off the range with GCA BU’s (including Assortment alignment)
  • Provide feedback on the campaign gaps to BU’s
  • Attend all GTM key milestone meetings
  • Listen to feedback from C/C’s DTC & CTC and put into action during AP building to support & drive C/C’s business
  • Involved with C/C’s commercial performance
  • Receive feedback and support request from channels
  • Be informed of assortment compliance comparison in all C/C for Mono (comparison of AP vs actual buy)
  • Review actual buy from C/C for Mono
  • Review weekly/monthly sell out results for all categories, all angles
  • Join the interactions that take place between GCA BUs and C/Cs CTC-CP

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement strategy
  • Presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders within a global matrix organization.
  • Distinct track record of success and high-level assortment management knowledge
  • Numerical & analytical skills
  • Cross-functional and stakeholder management experience
  • Industry knowledge, across divisions—footwear, apparel and accessories—and across all BUs.
  • Understanding of Asian markets’ consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 -10 years of marketing management experience with a recognized top tier brand.  Regional experience preferred.
  • Exposure to other marketing disciplines preferable, e.g. retail / ecom / merchandising, or sales channel experience
  • University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Sporting goods industry experience required
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel upwards of 15% of time
