Senior Manager Buying Planning, Direct to Consumer

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • Lead planners to deliver the objectives and financial goals.
  • Own OTB plan by season and channel as a key contact to FP&A and Demand Planning.

 

Key Responsibilities:   

Deliver below tasks by leading, developing planners.

Pre-season:

  • Deliver IBP by season and category aligning DtC strategy, Brand direction, and financial target.
  • Deliver AO draft by category based on historical analysis (*Range/Item/Productivity), aligning to Brand direction.
  • Manage buying process aligning with GTM Calendar.
  • Prepare deliverables for APAC OTB Review / Pre Buy Review Meeting.
  • Deliver OTB Plan (by season, by month, by sales plan) working with FP&A and Demand Planning.
  • Plan store capacity by category based on fact data.

 

In-season:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance to flag risks & opportunities and bake-in them into IBP.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis based on DtC requirement.
  • Manage OTB plan to reflect historical data and optimized forecast.
  • Share category sales business update with FP&A and CP to communicate with APAC BU.
  • Manage store capacity by category to optimize productivity working with buyers and operations.

 

 

Post-season:

  • Support company stock level management by leveraging FO channel, aligning financial target adjustment (*such as lower margin to accelerate stock reduction).
  • Review and analyse performance for subjected season for APAC OTB Sign Off & Pre Buy Review Meeting.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Social Sciences - Major in marketing, economics, statistics, or mathematics
  • Merchandising / Merchandising planning skill
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Japanese
  • Strong “Play to Win” mindset
  • Passion for sports and sports style
