Senior Manager Costing & Projects Footwear


  1. Manage regional costing projects and support identification and implementation of costing process & best practice across Liaison Offices (LOs), to achieve sustainable and competitive cost for adidas Group footwear business.
  2. Develop and lead the audit process for the adidas Group; ensuring accuracy of cost breakdowns (CBDs) provided by factories to the adidas and Reebok brands. 
    Key Responsibilities for process and projects responsibilities (80%):
  • Support, coordinate and /or lead (as needed) the implementation and the maintenance of the new costing approach for Footwear (Costing 2.0) as well as any new project phase resulting from Costing 2.0 review,
  • Lead and coordinate standardization projects as agreed with LO Costing  and HQ Costing, to ensure consistency and set project deliverables are met by defined seasonal deadline,
  • Ensure a structured project management methodology is being used to ensure regional engagement & support from LOs, regular alignment with core team and HQC and successful implementation across LOs,
  • Properly record & consolidate project milestone information to ensure full alignment as well as a regular and smooth communication with senior management and HQ.
  • Represent Sourcing costing on specific projects and coordinating tasks,
  • Identify project/process opportunities & best practice which can be leveraged at a regional level, submit to manager for approval and lead initiative until implementation following a structured and professional methodology.
    Key Responsibilities for audit responsibilities (20%):
  • Develop and lead a Cost Controlling process and an audit process for the entire footwear sourcing base to determine whether the most important controls are operating as intended and to ensure CBD accuracy, in accordance to predefined standards and negotiated components as outlined with the new costing approach.
  •  Describe the key risks facing the business activities within the scope of the audit; and identify control procedures used to ensure each key risk and transaction type is properly controlled and monitored. Proactively review and adjust the approach when necessary.
  • Report problems identified and negotiate action plans with management to address the problems. Follow-up on reported findings at appropriate intervals.
  • Support the identification and consolidation of FACT score (Factory KPI) for costing for each Factory Group partner.

  • Fluency in English
    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Procurement preferred. Or technical degree with major focus in manufacturing & project management
  • Knowledge of project management methodology preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years professional experience, preferably in an analytical position in a manufacturing environment or in Project management
  • Knowledge of athletic footwear industry preferred but not required.
