Vous serez en charge de minimiser les pertes sur créances tout en étant support des équipes force de vente dans le développement du chiffre d’affaires afin d’assurer la pérennité de l’entreprise. 

 

Rattaché au Directeur Credit Europe du Sud et basé au siège France, vous assurez le lien entre les équipes de recouvrement basées dans nos services partagés à Porto (Portugal) et les équipes locales (ventes, service client, finance, management).  Vous saurez sensibiliser les équipes commerciales et communiquer sur les enjeux du crédit management. 

 

Votre rôle sera de construire cette nouvelle relation avec l’équipe de recouvrement qui gère les missions opérationnelles depuis Porto tout en étant le garant de la bonne gestion du recouvrement et du risque. 

 

Vous développerez également des échanges constructifs avec nos clients clefs afin d’optimiser les paiements en :  

  • approuvant les décalages de paiement, les limites de crédit et les plans pour les clients en difficulté 
  • gérant le risque crédit  
  • décidant des livraisons bloquées demandées par les équipes commerciales 

Votre analyse du reporting, des KPI Crédit et des comportements des paiements clients, vous permettront d’aider au développement des ventes et d’établir un plan d’action pour la direction adidas France. 

 

Vous définirez les critères de mise en contentieux et suivrez les procédures judiciaires avec les équipes des services partagés basées à  Porto. 

Vous serez également force de proposition dans l’harmonisation et la standardisation des processus de Crédit au sein du groupe de travail des managers du crédit européens. 

 

Profil idéal  

 

Titulaire d’un Master 2 dans le domaine de la comptabilité, la finance et la gestion ou d’un DCG/DSCG. Vous possédez une expérience de cinq ans minimum sur un poste de “credit manager” ou responsable recouvrement acquise au sein d’organisations complexes, matricielles et internationales. 

 

Vous maîtrisez les mécanismes de comptabilité client, de la fiscalité associée et avez des connaissances juridiques dans les domaines contractuels et contentieux. 

 

Parfaitement à l’aise en anglais (niveau C1 minimum) et en français (niveau C2 exigé)  vous êtes doté d’un fort sens relationnel et vous savez interagir avec des équipes multiculturelles et pluridisciplinaires (commerciales, comptabilité, distributeurs…) Votre expérience de collaboration et de management transversal avec des équipes partagées serait un plus.

Autonome et agile, vous êtes reconnu pour votre force de proposition et qualités de persuasion.

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

Credit Management main purpose is to manage and monitor the credit risk of the company towards its customers with the final aim to reduce the risk of A/R write-offs to a minimum.  As such CM has to continuously monitor the credit limits for the current customers and perform credit investigations for new customers. In addition CM is as well responsible for the collection of overdue invoices. This includes the co-operation with lawyers, collection agencies and insolvency administrators. Finally CM provides regular reporting on the development of bad debts and open items and DSO at customer level to senior management.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Management of credit risk for the business
    • Ensure that all customer accounts have an appropriate credit limit and credit rating. Monitor the development of credit limits and customers’ credit-worthiness.
    • Ensure all new customer accounts requests are reviewed in accordance with the new account opening procedures, and in particular ensure that an appropriate credit limit is set based on the level of risk identified for that customer.
    • Ensure that all credit limits are reviewed at least annually
    • Manage debtor risk and balance against the commercial objectives of the entity.
    • Business partner of Sales driving decision making when credit limit is insufficient for the turnover expectation.
    • Consider Sales, Margin and Stock risks when making a credit /debit risk assessment.
    • Ensure that negative information regarding our customers is assessed and acted upon swiftly, effectively, and appropriately to ensure the best position for adidas
    • Stop deliveries in case of potential insolvency or overdue situation of customers
    • Block customers in case of insolvency and /or legal cases
    • Ensure that the write-offs of receivables will be kept to a minimum

 

  • Debt Management
    • Collection of debts, including cooperation with lawyer, collection agencies and insolvency administrator
    • Ensure that the debtor´s ledgers are accurately stated and are up to date on a timely basis.
    • Ensure that cash is collected from debtors in a timely manner and in line with agreed payment terms.
    • Work with Sales team to gain customer insights, chase cash and resolve issues.
    • Close contact with customers to establish good relationships, improve payments, improve efficiencies, gain knowledge to better assess risk and to resolve queries.
    • Highlight risk to sales forecast/order conversion resulting from reduced credit worthiness of customers or negative news in relation to customers.
    • Regular review of debtor´s ledgers ageing to highlight potential bad debt risks or unresolved issues.
    • Agree payment plans with customers
    • Ensure that, when a customer goes into administration or equivalent, the best position for adidas is secured.
    • Monitor the performance of Cash collection and DSO and take appropriate actions to optimise the level.

 

  • Dispute management

 

  • Ensure that customer queries/ disputes are resolved in a timely and accurate manner working closely with GBS, Sales, customer service…
  • Ensure that credit notes relating to valid claims from customers are raised timely and accurately

 

  • Reporting and Month End /Year End Processes

 

  • Report Ageing of debtor´s ledgers highlighting potential risks and including follow up actions from the prior month.
  • Ensure that development of credit notes is reported monthly including tracking against target and prior year.
  • Assessment of doubtful and specific credit note and bad debts accruals

 

  • Legal

 

  • Ensure that customer Terms and Conditions appropriately worded to reflect the requirements of Credit Management to provide best protection for future debt.
  • Manage legal processes related to Debt collections
  • Ensure that we get the best performance from the lawyers that we use to act on our behalf.

 

 

  • Customer data Maintenance

 

  • Collaboration with Customer data team to ensure that records are accurately kept and in a timely manner

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Solid accounting knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP in particular in relation to AR
  • Solid knowledge of applicable bankruptcy laws
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of internal sales and delivery processes
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Good strategic thinking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, word)
  • Excellent computer analysis skills on a variety of platforms; SAP/MST an advantage
  • Oral and written fluency in both French (C2) and English (C1)

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related filed
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the respective area
  • Leadership experience
