The vast majority of consumer journeys start online – they like to browse, research and compare products, even if they intend to buy in-store.  The way consumers shop is reshaping the marketplace. As a result, many of our wholesale accounts (partners) are going through their own digital transformations. They are investing in how they reach the consumer online, whilst a new breed of accounts in the form of pure players and eMarketplaces have emerged in our digital ecosystem with new business models to service and sell to our consumers. At adidas, we are redefining our digital presence in a way that will push the future of digital and create premium experiences across all our consumer touchpoints to drive brand desirability, engagement and sales for our brands. The Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) team is driving this evolution in digital wholesale and through new business models across our worldwide organization.

 

The role of the DPC Strategic Account Acceleration team is to accelerate the digital sales growth with selected global strategic partners by providing the leadership, expertise and capabilities for “how to win” online to compliment the activities of the market. Ensuring our Wholesale partners receive unmatched support and enabling them to serve consumers in the best way possible, adidas established a dedicated key account organization providing industry-leading service and coordinating all global adidas interactions with them.

 

As the Digital Commercial Transformation Senior Manager, you will be responsible for transforming our strategic global wholesales processes to enable our key account acceleration managers, global / market counterparts and local teams in executing our digital growth ambitions. You will be the key transformation partner for the global DPC Account Acceleration Director and broader wholesale teams in innovating key enabling frameworks across investment, business planning and other strategic workstreams to successfully cascade policies downstream. Success will be defined both by understanding adidas / Reebok global wholesale processes and brining digitally focused approaches to established thinking in order to fulfil our vision for the future across global markets and accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Partner with DPC and wholesale stakeholders in building and driving detailed project plans across the organization.

Drive global best practice across the adidas commercial excellence framework from business planning through to See Find Buy concepts.

Build simple and translatable playbooks with colleagues in order to successfully drive implementation of the commercial acceleration plans downstream for action.

Act as sounding board and key consult to extract and bring to life concepts around commercial excellence framework workstreams.

Bring to the table new and innovative approaches to problems, evolving our approach and thinking to land the future commercial strategy for DPC.

Manage the end-to-end process from the concept creation through to completion ready for implementation in partnership with Account Acceleration colleagues.

Proactively challenge and recommend innovative solutions, qualify opps/risks and recommend mitigating actions to challenges within workstreams.

Own and drive key stakeholders and business partners towards successful achievement of relevant timelines and milestones in line with Account Acceleration strategies.

Prepare and facilitate action and results orientated milestones on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis alongside the commercial planning cycles.

Ability to engage multiple stakeholders and inspire action towards delivery on a common goal.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Experience of condensing complex processes to simple and understandable frameworks.
  • Experience of working in a high speed, matrix organization
  • Self-starting positive attitude and approach
  • Innovative and solutions orientated with ability to work with ambiguous situations.
  • Analytical thinker, with the ability to communicate features and benefits of ideas.
  • Comfortable with managing senior stakeholders and driving action within that group.
  • Project Management experience and / or process excellence as an advantage.
  • Highly skilled in written, presenting, and corporate communicating skills.
  • Fluent English, both verbally and written

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • university degree in relevant field
  • 6+ years of experience in a relevant field, with experience in digital wholesale / commercial transformation an advantage
