  1. General Purpose 

As a Senior Manager Digital Operations at adidas you are contributing to specific business processes affecting small to medium user groups. Your task is to define a strategy and lead an exercise of standardization and continuous improvement of Product Data Tagging and related processes in collaboration with markets, engineering teams and other business stakeholders. Driving best practices in Product Data Tagging and related operations success and contributing to a culture of operational excellence are just a few of the key activities that will be expected from this role. Additionally you will be the key interface for day-to-day issue resolution in your area of responsibility. 

 

  1. Key Responsibilities  

Scope: Accountable for one or several business processes affecting medium to large user groups 

  • Process Definition & Documentation 

  • Co-create (with market and local stakeholders) a strategy for how Product Data Tagging fits in adidas operational process and benefits adidas business  

  • Lead a process definition for Data Tagging with global and local departments that will allow to leverage or build proper solutions with internal and external cooperation partners. 

  • Ensure internal stakeholder efficiency and satisfaction by supporting ongoing Product Data Tagging or new functionalities in this space. Being an advisor in the space of data analysis, pattern identification, outcome driven data enrichment and reporting.  

  • Pro-actively ensure full alignment in processes within your scope of responsibility to the adidas application landscape through consistent integration via internal and external interfaces.  

  • Lean knowledge sharing on -and document the defined processes to provide transparency and sustained clarity for all stakeholders. 

 

  • Continuous Improvement 

  • Create and clearly communicate an overview of an Opportunity space and Improvements Roadmap 

  • Establish framework where team is enabled to monitor and analyze respective processes continuously. Identify improvement opportunities and define respective solutions. 

  • Lead process reviews involving all relevant stakeholders to collect appropriate feedback and define/enrich a backlog of improvements. 

  • Intake and prioritize change requests for new functionalities in sufficient detail for qualification and solution selection Document their implementation. 
     

  • Day-to-day Operations 

  • Provide appropriate support to markets and agile teams on day-to-day issue resolution and operations. 

 

  • Best Practices 

  • Define standard best practices and control methods. 

  • Drive best practice communication and trainings throughout the whole organization.

  1. Requirements 

  • Education & Experience 

  • Degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • 8+ years of experience in a Digital and/or eCommerce environment  

  • Expert knowledge in respective domain e.g. Payments, Consumer Engagement etc.) 

  • Experience in managing highly complex processes, involving multiple teams in different geographies 

  • Experience in product management and/or working using agile/SCRUM methodologies  

  • 0-2 years of experience in leading a team 

 

  • Soft-Skills 

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners 

  • Very good communication & negotiation skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely 

  • Good people management skills are a plus 

 

  • Hard-Skills 

  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies 

  • Understanding of Database Technologies and integration formats  

  • Experience in software best practices (design patterns, test-driven development, and clean code  

  • Experience with Analytics tools and highly skilled in Excel  

  • Project management and project monitoring experience is a plus 

  • Knowledge of process optimization methodologies (LEAN, 6Sigma, etc…) is a plus 

  • Fluent English both verbally and written
