Senior Manager Finance Academy

Purpose:

 

The IR Reporting Team is generally covering three areas: one responsibility is to coordinate the delivery of all external financial communication of adidas including the Annual Report and Quarterly Reports. The second pillar is the Translations team: responsible to deliver internal translation services to the organization including but not limited to the adidas financial publications. The third pillar is the Finance Academy with the objective to support the Global Finance & GBS function to achieve its targets by developing and delivering relevant learning content and creating a learning mindset amongst the Finance employees. This includes close collaboration with the Global Finance & GBS Senior Management to ensure the most important learning needs and target groups are identified and met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • The major contribution of this role is to manage all aspects of the Finance Academy in close alignment with the Senior Director IR Reporting. This includes to conduct regular learning needs analysis based on Senior Management input, develop clearly defined plans on how learning needs can be tackled, the development of learning material and finally to oversee and coordinate the delivery of such training material.   
  • Collaborate closely with the HR Learning Team, other functional learning academies such as the Sales Academy to ensure the Finance Academy is operated in line with corporate guidelines and has access to best practices.
  • Establish & manage an internal network of trainers and/or experts who will help the Finance Academy to support key strategic Finance initiatives.
  • Establish & manage an external network with agencies, consultants but also other companies to get insights and learn from others how to approach the learning requirements of the future.
  • Develop, curate and update relevant training material in close collaboration with the respective knowledge experts of the Finance function.
  • Design learning programs by collaborating with internal and external experts.
  • Create a communication plan and coordinate learning events to promote a learning mindset and the Finance Academy offerings, e.g. LinkedIn Learning, Gartner. This would also include to manage & maintain the Finance Academy SharePoint and its constant improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong project management and coordination/planning skills
  • Strong business understanding of Finance but also companywide processes and structures
  • High degree of customer orientation, service mentality and collaborative attitude
  • Result orientation and pro-activity
  • Ability to maneuver in a consistently changing environment
  • Good communication expertise, both written and verbal
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • University degree preferably with a focus in Psychology, HR, Communication, Management, Social Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in an international organization  with the mindset and experience of working in diverse environment including different cultures
  • Additional certifications in related areas a plus.
  • Fluent in English, and ideally in one other language or more
  • Experience in a Training/Learning/Talent related role
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing training content and materials (on & offline) on various topics
  • Experience with eLearning development software (Articulate, Rise, etc.) would be a plus
