Senior Manager GBS DE Intelligent Automation Development

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

As a sr. manager for Intelligent automation development, you’ll play a fundamental role leading a team of developers and being capable to support them in technical details with specific technologies/applications. You’ll provide expert advisory to best design and deliver high-end quality solutions on agreed timelines. It’s also expected from this role to keep an up-to-date knowledge on the state-of-the-art for automation technologies, allowing to push the boundaries of the automation journey in adidas GBS. The position requires strong collaboration, communication, leadership, technical and change management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Coordinates and lead a team of intelligent automation developers, ensuring proper coaching whenever it’s needed
  • Support the team on technical discussions for different alternatives and what the trade-offs that may need to be considered
  • Ability to architect process automations and use cases
  • Support on the development of creative and innovative solutions integrating different types and tools for process digitization and automation, for example integrating business process workflow with an RPA module to allow the end-to-end process automation
  • Propose and align on prioritization for pipeline automation projects ensuring a proper roadmap for the valuable opportunities
  • Allocates the different work to the respective employees considering experience, complexity, workload, and organizational efficiency
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of IT systems, data and analysis and team feedback and makes appropriate changes to meet business needs.
  • Provides team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and objectives
  • Coordinate with automation discovery team, operations, GPOs, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that deliverables follow the estimated timelines and high-quality standards
  • Participate on consultancy sessions to assess business processes and tasks identifying potential feasibility for automation opportunities
  • Keep an updated knowledge about state of the art for automation technologies trends and evaluates opportunity/value of its implementation.
  • Benchmark with best-in-class GBS and automation teams to leapfrog on intelligent automation
  • Is involved in recruiting process and proposes support for hiring decision and pre-selection of candidates

  • Hands-on work-related experience in designing, delivering and managing automation solutions
  • Ability to rapidly grasp processes and identify potential automation solutions
  • Solid knowledge about process automation
  • Strong analytical skills and an innovative thinker
  • Good planning, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work and deliver in changing environments
  • Solid project management skills from initiation to closure
  • Flexible and dynamic personality

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • College or University degree with focus on Business Administration / Management / Engineering/ IT/ Data Sciences/ or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 7 years’ relevant experience in IT and/ or relevant area
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience work in mid to large-scale projects or program management and digital transformation.
  • Experience in automation software tools like UiPath, Bizagi, Automic, ABBY and low/no code platforms
  • Good understanding of AI capabilities and how they can be applied for intelligent automation
  • At least 2 years’ experience in team management
  • Experience working and applying Agile methodologies
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects
