Senior Manager Planning & Reporting (m/f/d)

Purpose & Function Description:


The general purpose of this position is to be a financial consultant for the Corporate Performance Management organization by providing adequate reporting, analysis, recommendations and contributing to the preparation of Senior Management Information / Presentations to enable fact-based decision-making.  

Contribute to the short,- mid- and long-term planning processes to ensure the achievement of the overall Total Company ambition by providing adequate simulation and consolidation models and ensuring a transparent and goal-oriented communication.


Preparation of timely, accurate and relevant management information and analysis concerning the historic and expected future financial performance, helping the business to achieve financial as well as strategic targets.



Key Responsibilities:


• Enable fact-based decisions by creating financial transparency on consolidated P&L and B/S performance across market -, category - and channel portfolios of the Total Company

  o Provide accurate reports and consolidated views on past, actual and future financials

  o Perform analysis and validate results to provide Senior Management required information in time for decision making

  o Drive the creation of regular and ad-hoc presentations

  o Run and further improve communication packages to present results, recommendations and solutions for business partners

• Steer and drive company-wide Budget process

  o Define and align on the planning calendar as well as the required internal alignment processes / milestones

  o Be an active counterpart to stakeholders; act as a key contact person

  o Setup and drive simulations models for P&L, B/S and CAPEX

  o Setup and drive consolidation tools for P&L, B/S and CAPEX

  o Setup and drive guidance - and target communication processes

  o Define and support on required system adjustments (Global chart of accounts)

  o Prepare Board and Supervisory Board presentations

  o Work on process - and simulation / consolidation model improvements

• Support of general CPPM activities (e.g. GRAPE system input and consolidation handling)

• Drive small sized projects and take over an active role in medium sized projects, implement findings and ensure sustainability of achievements

• Enhance and improve working methods for day-to-day processes and systems and support the implementation of state-of-the-art analytic tools

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Solid Business understanding of processes and structure

• Very good analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources

• Good communication skills for adapting and exchanging information, mainly within the organisation

• High degree of customer orientation

• Ability to manoeuvre in consistently changing and international environment

• Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers

• Ability to work independently and toward tight deadlines

• Ability to coach, guide, manage, and develop a small team

• Pro-activity and a drive for results

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills



Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree in Business Administration/Finance/ Controlling

• System expertise in MS Office, BCS (GRAPE), BI

• 5+ years’ experience in Accounting / Controlling / Reporting within an international Group
