Senior Manager Retail Buying Plan & Allocation

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Managing merchandise planning in providing analysis and insight. Drive action plan to achieve business target for factory outlet and Concept stores

Managing inventory level to achieve inventory target, monitoring the inventory flow to drive business, defining business opportunities and risk. Weekly and monthly inventory reports

Play a critical role to corporate with stakeholders including finance team, business planning team and FO/CS operation team

Accountable for ensuring optimal initial allocations and in-season replenishments to fulfill consumer needs. Ensure quick reaction to fast changing market environment to steer allocation strategies. Ensure the achievement of market KPIs and global guidelines.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory:
    • Manage own retail channel inventory by monitoring stock in / stock out, sales and inventories rolling forecast, balance all KPI’s with company target including discount, margin, stock turns and week covers
    • Review and monitor receipt plan and excess inventory flow and cooperate with related parties including business planning, finance and own retail team
    • Work with buying team for OTB calculation and receipt plan to achieve company target
    • Monthly inventory review and presentation
  • Sales and operation:
    • Manage and monitor sales plan at monthly and daily level, according to the performance and promotion cadence
    • Review business performance weekly with all KPIs
    • Review promotion cadence in a monthly/ weekly basis
  1. Cooperate with operation team to action plan follow up
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Integrated business plan (3 years) merchandising demand plan based on direction
    • Lead allocation teams to assure that stores needs are covered by following the Channel Ranges provided by CS buying teams, and by providing with the optimal initial volumes to achieve stores sales plans
    • Responsible for in-season replenishment of stocks according to store performance
    • Drive the execution of mark-downs for OR CS channels as required within given framework and in line with market and global strategy
    • Responsible for effective flow of stock from regular CS channels to FO channels to assure product relevance in regular stores, adequate stock clearance and margin optimization
  • Leadership:
    • Serve as expert and leadership voice of allocation and trading to senior merchandising leadership to ensure teams are working collectively toward organizational objectives

  • Experience in Leading and Developing Teams - ensure organizational efficiency through effective motivation, training and development of the internal teams using prior experience(s) in people management and foster strong relationships and team spirit
  • Good understanding of brand building and consumer perspective 
  • Strong influencer and natural collaborator 
  • Holistic thinker – establish and drive end-to-end strategies and initiatives encompassing multiple functions

    PC/Language/Other Skills
  • English fluency and Mandarin fluency
    High level knowledge in IT business solutions, tools, processes
     
    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
    Minimum 10 years’ experience in retail merchandising environment
     
    Educational Background
  • University advanced degree
