Senior Manager Self Service Account North (Location within cluster) - Europe (M/F/D)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:


The position is the key ambassador for all Cluster related ‘Self Service Account’ topics. This includes on the one hand the ensurance of profitable and sustainable account development with assigned Self Service Accounts in the assigned cluster while respecting adidas category and brand image. On the other hand, the position holder is the Single Point of Contact for all internal SSA related milestones within the cluster (e.g. IBP, etc.).

Key Responsibilities: 


•    To represent the assigned Self Service Accounts internally as an ambassador towards all functions and vice versa 
•    To develop assigned Self Service Accounts, tap full potential and manage all interfaces towards adidas respecting the framework set by the Senior Director SSA & Digital WHS Solutions
•    To support the Senior Director SSA & Digital WHS Solutions in further developing and executing the strategy for the assigned Self Service Accounts
•    Closely monitor the pre-order intake and orderbook development of the assigned accounts and ensure customers place orders according to our sales timelines
•    Ensure customer compliance with agreements
•    Drive and provide accurate and timely input into sales planning forecasting cycle (IBP, MBR, Cluster/Zone Finance meetings etc.)
•    To lead and execute quarterly/seasonal account management exercises based on Thresholds and defined accounts KPI’s (Exit & SSA Thresholds, Credit Management guidelines, etc.)
•    To lead the creation and execution of all cluster related strategic SSA topics for the assigned Self Service Accounts/the assigned marketplace
•    To drive selective strategic topics for Europe in cooperation with the Senior Director SSA & Digital WHS Solutions
•    To work closely with Europe/Zone Digital WHS Teams to ramp up digital solutions in order to secure a best possible digital Sell-In for Self Service accounts


•    To excel in recruiting and create a high-performing team in alignment with Sr. Director SSA & Digital WHS Solutions
•    To lead by example through setting clear objectives, measurable growth targets and establishing a growth mindset where we play to win
•    To manage direct reports by setting personal objectives through target setting, engaging in regular feedback, assessing performance and developing their skills and capabilities
•    To establish clear development plans with the team & support their execution


•    To measure progress on own KPIs
•    To be measured against defined Budget for assigned Self Service Accounts

•    Very good functional skills (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Finance, IT)
•    Strong level of commercial and business acumen knowledge
•    Good knowledge on the adidas business and GTM processes along with significant industry experience

•    Creative, open-minded individual
•    Ability to work on conceptual and operational level
•    Fluent in written and spoken local language and english. Skills and abilities in another language are a benefit


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 


•    Degree in business administration with focus on Sales/Marketing
•    Business: minimum of 5 years in Sales
•    Functional: minimum of 2 years in the sporting goods industry
•    Profound knowledge of sell in process of at least one Europe zone
•    Leadership: first experience (min of 1 year) in line management or project management i.e. project lead responsibility is a plus
•    Cross functional experience ideally with marketing/ sales / finance
