Senior Manager Strategic Planning (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Within the long-term ambition of Market Europe to win consumer and marketplace, support driving the Strategic Plan across brands, channels, clusters/ countries and functions for Market Europe, including the Strategic Plan for Europe as well as Europe annual game plans (incl. acceleration and gap plans)
  • Includes driving or supporting key elements of the Market Europe Strategic Plan, which can include
    • …the annual Brand & Sales Planning Process that translates strategic priorities into aligned annual ambitions and plans (top-down/ bottom up).
    • …managing the European priorities portfolio, reflecting Global Corporate and Function priorities as well as European business initiatives, aligned with all key stakeholders; drive definition of accountabilities and roadmap for priorities.
    • …serving as a key liaison towards Corporate Strategy, Global Business Development (Global Sales) as well as Global Brand Strategy.
  • Support and ensure excellence in execution of the Global Strategic Plan for Europe.
  • Closely collaborate with Consumer Insights and Market Intelligence Team to gather relevant insights from consumer, marketplace, channels and geographies and inform the strategic plan elements.
  • Support communication of a consistent narrative on the European Strategic plan through the organization by securing alignment with Internal Comms.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to apply a strategic mindset and curiosity to embrace innovation and marketplace trends and reflect them into future business opportunities for the business
  • Ability to define strategic levers and translate them into operational plans
  • Ability to leverage strong interpersonal skills (influencing, communication etc.) to integrate senior cross-functional groups to drive decisions and joint understanding
  • Proven methodological skills (e.g. Business planning, strategic development)
  • Mental flexibility, adaptability, initiative and determination
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must. Skills and abilities in other language are a benefit

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in business administration or similar subject
  • Business: min 3-5 years of relevant work experience in functions like strategic planning, Brand, Sales, Finance
  • Leadership: first experience a plus (incl. project leadership)
  • Industry: sporting goods/ retail/ consumer goods
