Senior Manager eMarketplace Key Accounts

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:


  • To drive profitable and sustainable market share growth within the defined digital eMarketplace key account, through driving the sell-in and sell-out of the defined Adidas brand product selection, whilst optimising key brand digital KPIs


Key Responsibilities:


  • To drive the development of a Strategic Key Account Plan for the defined digital account
  • Working with the Cluster & European Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) teams, develop and negotiate a Digital Joint Business Plan with the account & track progress on a monthly basis
  • To sell-in the defined product assortments to the account & agree on sell-out targets, formalised in combination with Account Marketing Plans – in collaboration with the account marketing lead & account director
  • To drive sell-out and order book conversion continuously, ensuring reliable and cost efficient supply for the account
  • To regularly measure progress across the following key KPIs: Net Sales, Standard Margin, Profitability, Share of search, Availability, Orderbook conversion, Range efficiency, Stock turn, Market Share evolution, PDP views, CVR, CTR, Impressions etc.
  • To represent the brand as an ambassador across all functions externally and internally
  • To monitor and report on the digital key account and competitors’ activities and propose/initiate/drive necessary actions 
  • To provide accurate plans and forecasts on customer performance
  • To ensure customer compliance with commercial, legal & brand agreements
  • Coordinate subsequent implementation of product range decisions and continuously monitor the on-site assortment across key KPIs e.g. availability, out-of-stock rate – proactively actioning where opportunities arise
  • Execute Digital Shelf optimization initiatives based on solutions developed by DPC in close collaboration with the account’s digital team
  • Enhance the visibility of the Adidas brand across the defined Digital Key Account, tailoring to maximize impact based on the respective specific consumer journey
  • In partnership with EU DPC Analytics, measure key performance metrics and quantify commercial impact based on enhancements and facilitate the forecasting of online sales & growth ambitions across your account
  • Updating key internal stakeholders through regular Key Account Business Reviews
  • Together with Europe DPC Partner Development, prioritize key digital acceleration initiatives to achieve JBP targets
  • Lead Digital Shelf optimization initiatives in close collaboration with the account’s team
  • In partnership with Europe DPC Analytics, measure & accelerate key performance metrics and quantify commercial impact based on enhancements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Understanding of how to accelerate and optimize our brand performance within a digital eMarketplace retailer’s platform
  • Quantitative mindset, proficient in MS Excel, ideally already first experience with web-analytics tools and proven qualities in data manipulation and analysis
  • Ability to convince and motivate people on different seniority levels and communicate progress & change
  • Ability to work effectively and under pressure within an international team environment
  • Strong industry knowledge, across divisions of footwear, apparel and accessories/equipment
  • Strong cross functional experience across marketing and sales
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work in deadline driven environment
  • Results driven personality
  • Solution-oriented with a focus on achieving results. Great attention to detail
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Keen interest & knowledge in digital and of the sporting goods industry
  • Fluent English is necessary


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • University degree is preferred
  • Proven experience within a Key Account Selling Environment

•    Experience working with leading global eMarketplace platforms

  • Experience in E-Commerce   – ideally both with an eMarketplace and within a brand
  • Experience and exposure to ecommerce UX and site optimisations, improving visibility and sales.
  • Experience working with pan-country teams and accounts & understanding how to tailor our brand approach to each locale
  • Sportswear industry experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of local E-Commerce landscape
