Senior Manager eMarketplace Merchandiser

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

The Senior Manager Merchandising will work hand in hand with the Senior Key Account Manager to create and implement the strategy to drive profitable and sustainable market share growth within the defined digital eMarketplace Key Account. This will be achieved through driving the sell-in and sell-out of the defined adidas brand product selection, whilst optimising key brand digital KPIs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • In season trading to ensure that all categories are performing at optimum levels, constantly monitoring sell-in, sell-out, order book position and feeding back any upside or risk to sales.
  • Own weekly trade meetings, highlighting opportunities/risks and action plans.
  • Own forecasting for eMarketplace top seller, by creating monthly forecasts and advising buyers additional buy opportunities, as well as influencing forecast planning teams.
  • Own eMarketplace promotional strategy, ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Drive monthly business review meetings (MBR) and strategy meetings prior to new season planning
  • Working closely with BU’s to influence range planning to ensure a balanced ranges,
  • Replenishment management to maintain the optimal stock levels on never out of stock styles.
  • Reviewing sales and stock against plan to identify areas of risk and opportunity
  • Providing an appropriate level of data analysis and insights that can be shared with relevant teams to aid decision making and gain buy in for ideas
  • Meet with account managers/buyers to ensure sales insights, and movements in forecast are communicated regularly.
  • Demonstrating a global mindset, discussing and sharing opportunities and risks with other depts to influence global strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Has a proven track record in Merchandising with branded experience within a fast-paced and rapidly changing global retailer or brand
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive the success of a department through creative and commercial thinking
  • Demonstrates the ability to gain buy in from the team and management to potentialize opportunities
  • Understanding of how to accelerate and optimize our brand performance within a digital eMarketplace retailer’s platform
  • Quantitative mindset, proficient in MS Excel, Ideally already first experience with web-analytics tools and proven qualities in data manipulation and analysis
  • Team mentoring and coaching experience
  • Ability to work effectively and under pressure within an international team environment
  • Skilled in diligently working with large data sets
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work in deadline driven environment
  • Results driven personality
  • Solution-oriented with a focus on achieving results. Great attention to detail
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Keen interest & knowledge in digital and of the sporting good industry
  • Fluent English is necessary

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Experience of Merchandising in multi-product areas.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify key products trends and emerging opportunities
  • Minimum 4 years of Mmerchandising experience with a recognised top-tier brand
  • University degree is preferred
