Senior Operations Specialist



  1. General Purpose 

As an Assistant Manager Digital Operations at adidas you are contributing to specific business processes affecting small to medium user groups. Your task is to partake in standardization and continuous improvement of Product Data Tagging and related processes in collaboration with markets, engineering teams and other business stakeholders. Driving best practices in Product Data Tagging and related operations success and contributing to a culture of operational excellence are just a few of the key activities that will be expected from this role. Additionally you will be the key interface for day-to-day issue resolution in your area of responsibility. 



  1. Key Responsibilities  

Scope: Contribute to specific business processes affecting small to medium user groups 

  • Process Definition & Documentation 

  • Contribute to process definition for Data Tagging with global and local departments that will allow to leverage or build proper solutions with internal and external cooperation partners. 

  • Support local stakeholders concerning ongoing Product Data Tagging or new functionalities in this space. Being an advisor in the space of data analysis, pattern identification, outcome driven data enrichment and reporting.  

  • Align processes within your scope of responsibility to the adidas application landscape through consistent integration via internal and external interfaces.  

  • Formalize and document the defined processes to provide transparency and sustained clarity for all stakeholders. 


  • Continuous Improvement 

  • Actively explore various internal and external data sources, integrate those data sources, prepare, apply and QA data for the consumption across all digital touchpoint  

  • Monitor and analyze respective processes continuously. Help to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to finding respective solutions. 

  • Participate in process and Product Data Tagging reviews involving all relevant stakeholders to collect appropriate feedback and define/enrich a backlog of improvements. 

  • Contribute to the definition of change requests for new functionalities in sufficient detail for qualification and solution selection Document their implementation. 


  • Day-to-day Operations 

  • Support markets and agile teams on day-to-day Product Data Tagging tasks and related operational process 


  • Best Practices 

  • Contribute to standard best practices and control methods. 

  • Contribute to best practice communication and trainings throughout the organization in a space of Product Data Tagging

  1. Requirements 

  1. Education & Experience 

  • Degree with focus on Engineering ,Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • 2+ years of experience in a Digital and/or eCommerce environment 

  • Basic knowledge in respective domain (e.g. RetaRetail (ecommerce) Payments, Consumer Engagement etc.) 

  • Experience in managing highly complex processes, involving multiple teams in different geographies 

  • Experience in product management and/or working using agile/SCRUM methodologies  


  1. Soft-Skills 

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners 

  • Analytical thought leader and advisor in space of data analysis, pattern identification 

  • Good communication & negotiation skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely 


  1. Hard-Skills 

  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies 

  • Understanding of Database Technologies, Data models and integration technologiesformats  

  • Experience (non-coding) in software best practices (design patterns, test-driven development, and clean code  

  • Project management and project monitoring experience is a plus 

  • Knowledge of process optimization methodologies (LEAN, 6Sigma, etc…) is a plus 

  • Fluent English both verbally and written
