Senior Platform Engineer - Cloud

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

This role will support and provide IT Consultancy to Business teams, or other IT teams, about adidas standards, processes, Platform usage guidelines, to focus on delivering value at high speed.

 

The role will manage adidas Continuous Integration Platforms like Jenkins, SonarQube, Harbor Docker Registry, GIT, etc, to support modern Software Delivery Lifecycle Process to adidas Global IT teams.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  1. Senior software Engineer /Technical lead with experience in:
    1. Backend development with Java Spring Boot and/or NodeJS
    2. Cloud provider experience like AWS
    3. Container Orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
    4. Data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
  2. Experience mentoring engineers and/or leading small teams.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Problem solving skills and hands-on attitude.
  5. Growth mindset and Motivation to never stop learning.
  6. Experience creating highly scalable, reliable and performant microservices based backend systems.
  7. Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  8. Proficient spoken and written command of English
  9. At least 7-year experience in IT
  10. 5 years of experience in relevant area
  11. 2 years of experience in team management
  12. Strong understanding & knowledge of regional and global market landscape and the respective customer 
  13. Managed critical elements and cross functional and regional projects

    • Development best practices, standards and guidelines
    • System design
    • Cloud and platform adoption
