Senior Project Manager, HR GCA

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

•    Foster the development and execution of Global People & HR strategies in Market GCA.  Drives projects of HR for Market GCA and people elements of cross-functional initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities 

(July-Dec 2021) : The role will focus on delivering China Acceleration Project from an HR perspective. The incumbent will closely work with the SVP HR GCA (or interim lead) and collaborate with the respective business leaders to support on delivering per project timelines (prepare/monitor/track), consolidating relevant information as required for Board reviews, manage the execution through effectively coordinating people, resources and budget. Monitor the project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan to implement preventive or corrective actions.

 

(Q1 2022 Onwards) : The role will gradually evolve to support other HR projects and activities including;
•    Lead or participate in assigned HR functional and cross-functional projects to successful delivery.  Projects may include: HR Strategy projects, major organizational restructuring / transformation, people related large scale business projects, etc.
•    Think regionally, globally and cross-functionally to identify project dependencies and their impact, raise dependency issues with the project sponsor and co-create solutions; drive transparency creation across key initiatives within HR and the People Strategy (i.e., about project goals, benefits, status quo vs. initial roadmap, resource bottlenecks etc.).
•    Ensure alignment of GCA HR initiatives with overall HR & People strategy; drive regular status reporting and follow-up.
•    Provide localization of the global HR strategy within GCA and alignment across all GCA HR functions.
•    Drives consistent optimization, harmonization, and standardization of HR processes and tools within the GCA  HR teams thereby reducing complexity and increasing transparency and alignment across the locations and functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•    Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing Projects and Initiatives on broad HR topics in large organizations across geographies and culturally diverse groups.
•    Strong analytical skills and think through, for strategy development and action planning including executive summary.
•    Strong interpersonal skills: Very good communications and negotiation abilities, as well as high presentation and stakeholder management across different levels.
•    Ability to drive results and influence strategically towards common goals, even though without direct reporting line relationships
•    Role modeling the 3C (Confidence, Collaboration, Creativity) behavior skill set.
•    High degree of commercial and/or business acumen (e.g. human resources, sales, marketing, finance or controlling).
•    Strong decision-making ability and determination with high self-initiative and pragmatism
•    Constant appetite to learn and extend knowledge about developments and trends
•    Ability to work in and thrive in a changing business environment


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
•    University Degree or Equivalent 
•    Minimum of 8 years’ progressive relevant work experience in a global/regional capacity within a sizable MNC, of which min 2 years in strategy or project management
•    Advanced MS Office, data visualization and analytics skills
•    PMI and/or L6S certificate is a plus
•    Fluent in written and spoken English. Skills and abilities in other Asian languages are a plus.
